I'm wondering why vodafone texted me with the offer then cuz I only pay £15 for 9 months and £25 for the remaining 3. Wait 'n see what they say. Will give them a call during office hours.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

******Offer Update******
Any new customer on any price plan can now get this offer (doesn't have to be £40 or above for new anymore)
Existing customers can still get it on any price plan as long as they are on 12 month or longer agreement.
Cheers:j0 -

Think this is new from Vodafone. They call it Top Up and Go.
£39 for USB dongle which comes with 1GB credit (normally £15) (plus possible £10 Quidco - mine has tracked). The good thing is that the credit does not expire timewise, unlike others that last only 30 days. Vodafone say 1GB will give about 30 hours browsing. The dongle is Huawei K3565. The only problem for me is that the dongle isn't currently compatible with my Eee PC 401. I reckon it's a bargain!0 -

...but still.
for someone wanting occasional use (holiday etc) it's a good deal, I have a caravan and have avoided (proper) mobile broadband cos I can't justify the 12-18month subscription, payg on the other hand....i still won't bother, but others mayUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
I phoned Vodafone's own direct sales team on 08080408408, as i was after a deal on mobile broadband for using with my Netbook.
Most mobile providers current offers appear to be 3GB per month for £15 and i thought the best i could find was for this rate with O2 through Quidco for £100 cashback, was i wrong!
Vodafone's offer was:
*****Free USB stick (the 7.2 Mbps down 384kbps up one)**** - UPDATED not the Pro stick
18 month contract
£7.50 per month (for the full 18 months)
£50 credit applied to account.
This makes the monthly cost £4.72 in real terms!
There is nothing close to this on any providers website; it may be that they have a sales target to meet, it may be that sales are way down due to the credit crunch; all i will say is that if you are after mobile broadband you cannot beat this offer.
Needless to say i bit their hand off:D0 -
Voda also now offer 1GB pay as you go for £15, no expiry. Good if you have broadband at home but need to surf occasionally on the move.0
