this thread was supposed to be about parking tickets, and now its about presents for taking other kids, who are not your own, to schoolLittle Miss Sparkles :A

I think it's kinda unfair to asume that just because you're *amazingly* self absorbed (sorry, that's just the way you're coming across in this thread), everyone else is like that too.
Most people *help eachother out*, *do eachother solids* that kinda thing...or even *just be nice*.
Anyway, as you rightly point out, this topic was for you to try and wriggle out of paying your justly-awarded parking tickets, so I'll leave you to it.0 -

self absorbed :rotfl: i am the most un self absorbed person you could ever meet in your life, have you ever heard the phrase do not judge others until you walk a mile in your shoes, well you know NOTHING about me, so you should not judge.
If someone asked you to walk their kids to school, what would you thinkwhy are they asking me
what else do they have on that they cannot do it
as I certainly would, and it would pee me right off if I knew there was not a proper reason why they were asking me, or just so they could keep their car parking space, this would really annoy me and I dont care what you or anyone says, but i can bet money on it most of you would be annoyed too, unless you dont A have children or B dont walk or drive them to school.
I do plenty of things to help out my friends, but my children are looked after by me, as at the end of the day thats what it means to be a mum, you look after your children, you dont just dump them at the first occasion.
Only my opinion and as its been said, everyones opinions are differentLittle Miss Sparkles :A

Actually, when I was at uni I lived with a guy that had a little kid. Sometimes I'd take his kid to nursery so that he could have a lie in and *plus* it meant he didn't have to move his car.
He was my friend, I was walking past anyway, why this would pee me off is beyond me. Oh yes, it would pee me off if I were *amazingly* self absorbed. I see.0 -

This has gone way off topic but anyhow.....
As you say everyone is different and as a parent I have no problem with taking other people's kids to school and have no problem if they take mine.
Just to be nice and helpful to each other.
Back on topic (sort of)
Have you asked the council about residents parking permits?
Would it be practical and how many would they be able to provide?
I know there was a huge purge near the west of Glasgow City centre on commuters travelling in and parking all day for free, the whole are now being residents or paid for parking (max 2 hours)0 -

If its just about parking tickets why did you tell us about your kids and other excuses.
If we are being clear cut you parked where you shouldnt and got a ticket0
