With all due respect, you chose and bought/moved into a house without parking and you are very familiar with the parking regulations.
It's unfortunate that other people were parked where you'd like to be, but presumably they had a legal right to do so.
It's unfortunate that you forgot. Twice.
But the offence was committed.0 -
how do the other children in the area get to school, can you lift share etc with them, or allow your kids walk to school with other mothers?0

I've every confidence there's some legal technicality that could get you out of the ticket (there normally is...) - sure pepipoo will help with that.
But I don't really know what happened to "taking responsibility for your actions", that kinda thing.
You knew full well you shouldn't have parked there for more than an hour. You did it. Put your hands up (or rather, in your pocket), pay up and forget about it.
It has nothing to do with being "by your house" - there's always somewhere to park even if you have to (God forbid) walk 10 minutes to get home - and for someone who goes to the gym 4 times per week, this shouldn't be a problem.
I find it really sad these days that people try to wriggle out of the consequences of their actions at every turn.0 -
OP you need to face upto the fact that you have committed a road traffic offence!!!
You are the one acting like a child so dont you dare insult me, your the stupid one parking, oh not once but TWICE somewhere you know your not meant too.
What makes you so special??!
Because you have asthma?! Lots of people have asthma, doesnt mean they can commit a road traffic offence!
You need to stop acting so childish, pay your parking fines, if I knew the council that had issued it (which your lucky I dont) I would copy your thread to them, so they could see you admit to your offence!
Pay your fine like everyone else has too.
And on a final point, I happen to know alot more about councils than most!

you have insulted me many times throughout this thread, so why is it ok for you to insult me, and ive not to dare insult youyou have after all received many more parking fines than me, 3 more to be exact:T you have illegaly parked FIVE times in one month where you're not supposed to
who is the stupid one now.
As I said at the start of the thread, in my very first post I know its my fault, so that mean in my book that I am facing up to things, I just happen to think £60 out my wages to pay parking fines, is a total waste of money, and thought I would come here for some advice, but I wish I hadnt bothered, as I cant be doing with people like you, who have DONE THE EXACT SAME AS ME shooting me down
If you want to copy the thread to South Lanarkshire Council in Scotland feel freeno one is stopping you

I hope that you dont pay them, and hopefully theyll charge you a bigger fine, once okay, twice you must need to read the high way code!!!!
one okay
twice read the high way code
third do you have a short memory that you need to read it again
FOURTH !!!!! yes everyone fourth time its becoming obvious that you did not read it at all
FIFTH !!!!!! you have committed five road traffic offences and you have the cheek to say this to me

they actually didnt, as i have mentioned there is a strip of parking for the whole main street that holds about 8 cars on a good day, and the people who work in the shops all park here just before 9am when they start work, they do not have any legal right, infact I do not even understand what you would mean by that, can you explain please ?Little Miss Sparkles :A

I had my children, they are no one elses responsibility but mine.
I would not dream of asking another person to drive or walk my children to school, that is just ridiculous and selfish.Little Miss Sparkles :A

Yes, its people like the OP who dont pay there parking fines who put ARE taxs up - you broke the law, pay the fine stop complaing, I got a parking ticket, 5 in 1 month last december, I paid them in FULL within 1 week, pay up, maybe then you wont do the same again.
I would love to park outside my house, I cant, but I dont act silly getting fines I know I will have to pay.
If taxs go up next year I know why!
im silly?????Little Miss Sparkles :A

There are more than 70 reasons why you could be given a parking ticket. Some of the most common include parking on yellow lines, parking in residents’ parking areas without a permit and not displaying a valid ticket in a pay and display area.
Next time just be careful!DELETE ACCOUNT.
