There comes a time when you just have to give advice to people who are a little less understanding.
My fines were issued incorrectly, notice that word.
Anyway I must be off, I will park where Im allowed, makesure you do too!

Understanding is an interesting choice of word, and quite ironic in your case.

I suggest you stop digging the hole you're in.

I would not dream of asking another person to drive or walk my children to school, that is just ridiculous and selfish.

I was trying to suggest that maybe one week you could take your neighbours kids to school and the following week they could take yours*

I think what may have been intended here was to suggest that if someone near you was going to the same school then perhaps they could take your kids.

That is neither ridiculous or selfish - just helpful

they actually didnt, as i have mentioned there is a strip of parking for the whole main street that holds about 8 cars on a good day, and the people who work in the shops all park here just before 9am when they start work, they do not have any legal right, infact I do not even understand what you would mean by that, can you explain please ?

It means they've just as much right to park there as anyone else and whether or not they live on that street is completely irrelevent and has no impact on whether or not they can park there.

Be grateful you don't live near the beach at a seaside resort. I used to and if you moved your car at Easter, you could forget parking it within 1/2 a mile of your house until September.

flowerscotland, IMO I think you should pay the fine move on and be careful in the future, BUT you do not deserve all that sh.t from night-owl.

I was inferring that there may be people who are capable and willing to do this.

It does not mean in any way that they have lost their marbles it just means that there are people who are willing to be nice and helpful to each other.

You may not have come across this before but it is quite common.

I'm sure he means that they would take it in turn, and if one of them has a full time job well maybe the other would take them all year, and a present would be nice as a token of appreciation =)

I guess I am being silly expecting to come in from a hard days shift and park in my own street  no one has the right to park anywhere unfortunatley, but the only thing is I wouldnt go to work expecting to have more right to park than the residents who lived there.

    thank you :D

I think you're right I do have to be more careful, it was a silly oversight by me, due to my children being ill, I had my mind on other things, but I guess I shouldnt have let it slip, as its cost me now
