I think what may have been intended here was to suggest that if someone near you was going to the same school then perhaps they could take your kids.

no other parent in their right mind will take my children to school when i sit on my bum doing nothing :rotfl:

It means they've just as much right to park there as anyone else and whether or not they live on that street is completely irrelevent and has no impact on whether or not they can park there.

Be grateful you don't live near the beach at a seaside resort. I used to and if you moved your car at Easter, you could forget parking it within 1/2 a mile of your house until September.

I was inferring that there may be people who are capable and willing to do this.

It does not mean in any way that they have lost their marbles it just means that there are people who are willing to be nice and helpful to each other.

You may not have come across this before but it is quite common.

I'm sure he means that they would take it in turn, and if one of them has a full time job well maybe the other would take them all year, and a present would be nice as a token of appreciation

I guess I am being silly expecting to come in from a hard days shift and park in my own street no one has the right to park anywhere unfortunatley, but the only thing is I wouldnt go to work expecting to have more right to park than the residents who lived there.

I think you're right I do have to be more careful, it was a silly oversight by me, due to my children being ill, I had my mind on other things, but I guess I shouldnt have let it slip, as its cost me now :eek:
