  • I switched to NPowers Sign Online Dual Fuel 23 through uSwitch on 21st September and got the mail about the wine promo saying it was all in hand but could take up to 12 weeks to sort. Seeing as I hadnt heard anything and was getting close to the 12 week deadline I thought I'd better look into it. Found an email saying the switch hadnt even happened due to some 'technical issue' !!!!!!? Is it worth me reporting this to Ofgem? Lo and behold the £450 p.a. best price I thought I'd signed up for has shot up to £744 p.a. Any ideas?

    Further to my earlier post about not receiving vouchers or codes I'm delighted to report that my email to the U-Switch rep here worked.

    Voucher and codes supplied and the wine was delivered today in time for Christmas.

  • I switched gas and electric via the link on MSE in October I think - maybe earlier... the switchover was confrmed as complete in an email in early November - I havent read the whole thread, so I apologise - but am I suposed to do anything to trigger the wine voucher, or does it come through automatically sooner or later? I've been searching my emails to see if I can find instructons, but to no avail!
  • I have recently switched from Scottish Power to EDF via the MSE link but still got no voucher code or anything, I was really hoping to have me free wine for Xmas. What do you think the chances are, I think the switching process started in October and I am now been supplied by EDF.

    My switch was requested by U-Switch 20th July and I had my voucher and code last week.

    You October boys have a looonnngggg time to wait !
  • Registered for free wine offer on 07/07/11 via this site. Contacted customer services 2 weeks ago and was told that my voucher had not been generated but they wil get it sorted by the end of the week. Rang on the Friday as it was not provided and was promised that they would have an emergency code generated by the end of the following week. To my surprise that did not happen and rang again today and was promised a code by 17:30.

    I wait with baited breath but will be amazed if I have a code today.

    5 and a half months 4 calls to customer services and no voucher = very poor service.

    I have also not received any vouchers. I followed link from Money saving expert over 4 months ago , then switched. After phone Calls and many emails they are telling me I followed a link from a search engine and therefore I am not entitled to voucher! This is terrible and also comepletely untrue .I will not use their services ever again.
  • I switched in September and have telephoned USwitch several times now. I was originally told they needed the confirmation from EDF, then when they did have it (in October) I was told that they were sending the wine vouchers EXACTLY 4 months after the switch so I could expect mine in January. I phoned again today, and was told that it was 4 months of BILLING ON THE NEW TARRIFF from EDF and not from the date of switch. Come on USwitch, your small print says that the delay could be down to the supplier - not that you wait for months even though you have all the information you need. So much for my Christmas wine. I wonder what the excuse will be when I phone back at the end of January?:mad:

    In some cases, the free wine vouchers can take up to four months to arrive so if it's been one or two, they should be on their way.

    If it has already been this long or you have any further questions about your switch, send us an email on [EMAIL="customerservices@uswitch.com"]customerservices@uswitch.com[/EMAIL] and we'll chase it up for you!

    Hmm - I just got your email Maya - "If it's been one or two, they should be on their way" is NOT what you are now saying - your email said "Unfortunately, the wait period is 4 months for everyone who switches." :(
