There is light at the end of the tunnel if you keep on at Uswitch.
After months of waiting and many emails, we too were told that we didn't use the right way to switch our gas and electric.
We looked at your website and someone had put an email address on for a customer service Representative for Uswitch. We emailed him and on the 19th May got our code and password for the wine. This has now been delivered so keep at it, after all it is nice to get something for nothing!
Good Luck.
• I just found this discussion, after back-tracking on a u-switch Voucher for Virgin wine's voucher.
I had to alter my original diatribe to u-switch and, after phoning my "new" supplier's, sent this instead:

Last time that I used your services, I received a box of wine, which is why I came back to you.
This time I received a Virgin wine inertia-selling voucher, because I apparently didn't realise that I had to go through the Martin's Money Tips website.
I am very unhappy, as I have to now wait for Scottish Power to send me a contact number, before I can cancel.
I realise that it is my fault that I didn't see that you were only offering Virgin's inertia-selling scam, until after I had agreed to switch.
I realise that you must keep costs down by not offering a cancellation service.
I hope that you realise that I still feel dissatisfied with your service and will not use it again and will, of course, make everyone I know, aware of my feelings about your site.
My only satisfaction is that you will lose your fat commission.

Why don't these people learn be open and up-front, putting the details loud and clear at the top of their web page.
I, for one, given up trying to use any web-based holiday offers, because of the attempts to sucker me into over-priced holidays, by adding extra's, which don't appear until after negiotating my way to the final page.
If shops acted this way, they'd be bricked.

How much more open and upfront do you expect those involved to be?

From the uSwitch website:
Save £38.50 with Virgin Wines and hear about other great offers first

How would you like to save almost £40 on a fantastic case of wine from Virgin Wines, and be the first to hear about other great offers like this?

Set your uSwitch email preferences before 24th January 2010 and not only will you get a discount of £38.50 on a case of 12 boutique wines, but you’ll also get great deals and offers that are relevant to you straight to your inbox
each week. [4]

From the MSE website:

...don't go direct, instead specifically click these special links to the comparison sites, and within 45-90 days you get paid cashback or freebies on top, provided they can switch you (see why they pay)...

12 bottles of wine (worth c. £40): Uswitch*

(MSE Martin has previously explained why, although Virgin may claim the value of the 12 bottles is £79.99 or something similar, MSE Martin believes it's true value is only about £40)
"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 2010
• Hi, is anyone else still having problems getting their free wine vouchers? It's over 4 months since i switched (via the link from moneysavingexpert and I got the confirmation email which details the wine offer) but when I called them to chase up they told me that there is a delay in getting the vouchers from Virgin wines and that it could be 5 months + before i get any voucher via email. I wasn't happy so have emailed the address as suggested winequeries@uswitch.com hoping to speed things up but have had no reply. Has anyone had success with this address? I was hoping to get it before Christmas ay least. I've been fully supplied by my new supplier for 3 months now.

Hi, I was beginning to think i was the only one. I switched in June. I've also sent another email to the general customer services address. No reply at all from winequeries or customer services. It is rather annoying as they've tempted me in with this offer and now Uswitch aren't fulfilling their side of the bargain. I've also emailed Archna, as suggested at beginning of this thread and waiting to hear.

update - Eventually got a reply on 13th Oct from uswitch to apologise for the delay, they were expecting vouchers in that week from Virgin but it could be up to 2 weeks from 13th oct. before i received them. I was assured i'm on list. However, Fast forward to today 27th October and still no voucher. Rang them again and was told that they've only just received 6000 vouchers but could be another 1 week + before they are allocated. Whether they will be allocated to me is a different matter as he couldn't tell me that. So waiting impatiently.....................

I have read a lot of bad stuff on this topic. I think everyone should realise that it is so easy to get it wrong, I studied it all and nearly fell into the trap of returning to USwitch without starting at MSE again. Maybe best to delete all cookies before making the final application.
I switched in June, started with Scottish power in August, and have just received an e.mail stating I will get my cashback in 2 weeks time. I e.mailed U-Switch to try to ascertain I was on the list for the wine offer - and they have replied promptly and courteously that I am, and will get the voucher code within 4 months of switching.
Maybe too soon to celebrate, but very happy with everything so far. Don't let negative comments put you off.

Hi,

I have also tried emailing winequeries@uswitch.com

but to no avail. I switched in June and assumed that they would bill for the first quarter before you received the voucher but nothing arrived.

I used the e,mail address customerservices@uswitch.com, and like I said, they replied the next day.
I also received my £50 cashback yesterday, a week earlier than they said.
• I switched to Scottish Power through uswitch (vis MSE of course) in early July. Was just ready to start bothering them about my wine and £50 cashback as I have waited the stated four months, when the cashback appeared in my account on Friday (no email notification). Then today I have received the Virgin Wine voucher - no complaints here :)
