Uswitch Gas & Elec wine switching offer: Are you having problems?

Hello
I used this service in September 2010 for switching gas & electricity with a £70 cash back offer.
Haven't received any money nor a reply to an email to u-switch.
Is it all just empty promises?

It can take up to 12 weeks from the date when you start to get your energy from your new supplier to get your cashback. (This is not the date when you switched on the uSwitch website, but the day when you actually start getting your gas and electricity from your new supplier.)
If you opted to pay for your gas and electricity by Direct Debit, then we will pay your cashback straight into your bank account, if not, we'll send you cheque.
If you've got any more questions, please feel free to drop me a line at the email address in my profile

When can I expect to recieve the promised £70 cashback as advertised by you at this time?

It takes at least 4 weeks and typically about 6 to switch (and sometimes much longer)
As per the quoted post, it then takes up to 12 weeks to get the cashback."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

Hi Pete,
I think you may have emailed me yesterday?!
I've replied, but just to reiterate and in case it's helpful to anyone else reading the forum, it takes up to 12 weeks to get your cashback from the date when you start to get your energy from your new supplier. This is not the date when you switched on the uSwitch website. This is because we have to wait for your new supplier to confirm that you've switched and your supply is live before we can start the ball rolling.
Unfortunately, Christmas and New Year bank holidays may have slowed things down a little, but I think your cashback should have been paid into your account at the beginning of January.
If this isn't the case, please drop me a line at the email address in my profile, or call our customer services team, and we'll look into it.

Hi Lauren,
Is that also the case with the wine voucher offer? I emailed yesterday because it's been 4 months since I switched on the site (via the MSE link) and I haven't received my voucher code yet.

Hi Wayne,
Sorry for the delay - I didn't spot your post.
It can take up to four months from the day you used the uSwitch website to switch to get your voucher. (Slightly less time than it takes for cashback.)
Hopefully if you emailed us, one of my colleagues will have replied, if not, please feel free to drop an email to me at the address in my profile or give us a call on the number on our website.

Hi,
The cashback was a special promotion with ScottishPower - it's not a permanent offer. (Sorry!)

My code for the "free" MSE/uSwitch/Virgin case of wine came today. It said it was for £60 (the cheapest case available) but when redeemed was only worth £50.
£10 for a case of wine is no bad thing, but the marketing all along has promised a FREE case. I feel a bit misled.0 -
i got mine fine... in time for xmas to
