I know, but the odds are about 250 to 1 of getting a PT job. Coupled with that you can't work more than 37.5 hours a week in two jobs and they have to fit in together time wise. It really is a mine field.

    Why not??

Plenty of people work more hours than that!

Not with the same employer anyway.

    Again (sigh) why not?

Why do you need 2 jobs with the same employer, exactly?

Or to pay you £1000 in interest on your investments.

Are they the only jobs that deal with customers then?

They take my cut of my interest.

I don't know what jobs exists in banks but the only ones you see are customer facing ones.

Because more than 37.5 hours you would be going over FT hours.

You might want two jobs one in two different sections say.

So you make money off your investments, and the organisation that enables you to do it shouldn't make anything at all?

Why not go it alone then, if you could do better?

There are thousands of different jobs in banks. If you opened your eyes you'd see that the real world isn't anything like how you think it is.

You know what Phil, I'm bored now. There are other people I could be helping that would be grateful for it.

So get another job or don't. Apply or don't. Look at the public sector or wider. I don't care. Nothing will stop you whining and moaning, and it's rather pathetic.

Sorry Phil, but I don't believe that there are 250 applications to every post advertised.

You are putting barriers in your way that just aren't there!
    Gone ... or have I?

I am sorry! I didn't mean it that way. I mean I have no one to help me write job applications and I know no one personally that understands the world of work. I know there are all these interesting jobs that I could do but I don't have a clue how you get them as they just are never advertised.

All I have to go is I meet people at work and think maybe I could do a job like them but it is not really achieveable as these vacancies don't exist.
