chin up mate.. this is just a short blip in your life... you need to learn from this... don't apply for any more temp jobs if you feel you will be upset when your contract ends.
Go to your local council website and look for jobs there.. I have just had a telephone interview to start the recruitment process to work in my local Benefits agency as a clerical assistant... I might not get the job but the interview and the weeks training will do my confidence the world of good
What job did you do Phil?:cool:0 -

Ah yes, I see.. could you perhaps try to see if you can work in the student library? From other posts.. I gather you live in Leeds?
There must be several college/university libraries there?
You could apply to them all.. or just ring them up with your best flirty/professional voice
Lucky for you, you will have a good reference as you haven't been sacked.. your Temp contract has just expired.:cool:0 -
Trouble with libraries is it is all PT jobs when I really need FT. So maybe it is time to move on.:beer:0

Could you not take a P/T job with a view to becoming permanent.. and get another type of job in between?
I know that doesn't sound ideal, but presumably you are single without children? You will meet a different type of people and build up confidence..
. what are your skills? Is this the first job you have ever had?:cool:0 -

I could but the competition for pt jobs is so high. I have no special skills and this is the first job I have had.
Dealing with customers all you can go to is working in a bank or a switchboard job, neither of which I would enjoy because banks are there to screw people.:beer:0 -
The good thing about the public sector is you can look at your staff card and think I work somewhere worthwhile and that people respect. That to me matters and I don't really like the idea of getting involved with places that sell and make super normal profits.
I know I am rather sad person for looking at my staff card and thinking that I have it all now and in a few weeks i won't have anything.:beer:0 -

Or to pay you £1000 in interest on your investments.
Are they the only jobs that deal with customers then?0
