Be careful with this insurance.
It doesn't cover the phone being stolen (or lost) without sign of force.
For only £20 extra you can get insurance that covers this.... well worth the extra for expensive smart phones.0 -
I am signing to Coop's privilege account which provides free mobile insurance. According to it's T&C, I need a receipt of the phone to claim. However, I bought the phone through ebay, and can only produce paypal's receipt. Will my phone be covered?0

I've done a little research for mobile phone insurance and most of the policies do seem very similar but prices vary considerably.
I tried to insure my iPhone 4 but found most policies did not cover me for loss. I found a very good comparison site at 2U.co.uk where I found a company that did cover my iPhone for loss along with water damage and theft. Most of the policies offered by the big networks seem to be very overpriced.0 -
How much is the excess though?0

Bar house contents insurance, does anyone know of any insurance company willing to insure under 18s for their mobiles. Whilst my daughters phone may be paid for and registered in my name, in the event of it being stolen/lost etc.. any claim will not be eligible as she is under 18. And as most insurance companies require crime ref number, white lies are not an option. any comments welcome0

got a letter from barclaycard the other day offering me their insurance package, for 6 quid a month you get £350 of iphone cover, £500 of gadget cover and free credit reports. Looks cheap when you consider the amount of stuff you get :money:

I recently won an excellent Samsung Omnia 7 with the new Windows Phone 7 OS on it.
This is worth at least £400 and I was getting a bit paranoid about dropping it. I'd only ever owned phones worth about £30 before!
I'm glad I checked the forums because it scared me off CUSC and I went to my Home Insurance provider instead (First Direct).
They recommended adding Personal Belongings cover at £54 for the year. This insures any damage (up to £2000) of any personal items that may be taken out of the home, e.g. Sat-Nav, Laptop, mobile phones etc.
Covers worldwide loss/theft and accidental damage. Does not cover theft from car (unless locked in glove box or boot) or general wear and tear.
Seemed like a good deal to me :j0 -
Does anyone have any experience of protectyourbubble?0

Hi,
I took out insurance with talkcover for myself, wife and 2 kids. I have just tried to claim on my daughters and believe me it like hell. First thing is all the numbers to contact them are 0871 premium rate numbers and believe me they like to keep you on hold for as long as they can, they then just give you an adress to send your proof of purchase, as I explained to them they could put that address and information an the website( or is it just that they like you have to ring them). You can email proof but only in PDF format, If you contact O2 you will find they do not send information like that in PDF format. Surely talkcover know that. If you want any more information give me a couple of weeks as I am just about to post proof of purchase, but I don't feel happy and I WILL NOT be renewing my policy with them. Hope this helps0
