??? I have downloaded the spreadsheet. Couldn't get it to work in Works so downloaded Excel viewer as someone suggested. Can now bring up the first page of the workbook (I think) but can't do anything with it. Get a message saying Excel is not properly installed.
What am I doing wrong?.
My OS is Windows XP Home.

??? TONY: I have downloaded the spreadsheet via msebudget.zip and opened it to a new Excel sheet (I have MS Ofc 2003 and Windows XP Prof), but am stymied as to how to access the directions/guide for setting up my budget. Can you help me? Susie Q0
-
Hello Suzy, you have downloaded a ZIP file, do you have a utility to uncompress zip files Click Here To Download Winzip
Once you have uncompressed the file it will simply be an Excel workbook that will load into excel when you double click it, follow the instruction contained within the spreadsheet / online / or refer to "The Money Diet" book for usage instructions.
If you have further problems please post back and we'll see if we can help you to resolve them.

For us poor peasants who prefer not to pay the extortionate prices that Microsoft charge for MS Office and MS Excell can this spreadsheet be used in any other software package?0
-
rickgtaylor, at this moment in time the spreadsheet cannot be used in alternative packages. With the help of other's we will be creating versions for Windows / Mac as well as various packages such as Excel, Works, Open Office etc.
We are also working on an online version which will be accessible by everyone with a Java compatible browser.0 -

Is it possible to have an editable version so we can add extra expenditure items (e.g. TV license) so possible just a feature on the locked version so that extra rows can be added,
