We're trying to complete the Budget spreadsheet and have a #REf error
in Expenditure under Transport & Travel Part B column, petrol/diesel row which we cannot access because of password protection. Changing Part a on row from wkly to mnthly doesn't make a difference either.

I get the same error in the homes drinks section, and then on the results page it gives #ref! instead of total expenditure :(

Unfortunately I do not use "Macs", I am not able to advise you. I would assume that Excel for "Macs" is different and therefore not compatible. I am open to advice from any Apple-Mac experts which may'be able to offer a solution.
  • I've saved money by using the excellent freeware Open Office package. It's supposed to run Excel spreadsheets but when I try to run the Budget Spreadsheet I get a script error when trying to use any of the buttons - can anything be done to cure this?

  • Apologies if this has been posted already, but I feel it is worth knowing that for those of you without Microsoft Office or even just the Excel viewer, there is a free Office Suite available from this site:

    http://download.openoffice.org/index.html

It is supported on all three major platforms, Windows (including Vista), Mac (from OS X 10.4 Tiger and above) and Linux.

    I hope this helps!
