  • Hi

I use Excel 97 on Windows XP SP2.

Successfully downloaded the spreadsheet and unzipped, but when I try and run it I get the message:

    "Run Time Error '438';"
"Object doesn't support this property or method"

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Many Thanks
  • Hi

I have downloaded the budget Excel spreasheet . I am studying VBA at the moment and I was wanting to look at the coding. Are you able to provide a password so I can access this code?

    Thanks

I downloaded the spreadsheet but it tells me it is 'read only' so there's no point in trying to understand what to do with it. I don;t know how to use a spreadsheet -its really daunting and off putting and I've got nowhere after an hour except frustrated - I'll have to go right back to pen and paper!
  • Great Spread sheet, just what i need.

I'd like to edit the titles of the different outgoings as mine do not all match yours. what is the password to unprotect the file?

    cheers

For those people on this thread who want to edit the worksheets, add comments, change £ to $, etc., download and install this free tool - http://downloads.zdnet.co.uk/0,1000000375,39313641s,00.htm

Select the budget .xls file and then click Unprotect Worksheets & Workbook and enter a new filename. It takes about 20-40 minutes, depending on how fast your computer is.

The free version is able to remove the workbook protection, but not the VBA project protection.
  • I have downloaded the budget spreadsheet but whenever I try to open it I get a message saying "the file is password protected or encrypted" and it will not open. Can anyone help?
  • I have a unique problem, as i use my company pc (more than i would like) it will not allow me to download the file itself. is it poss for someone to email it to me? i will only take a second :o

    Many thanks in advance.
