I totally agree. The spreadsheet itself is fine but with just a few tweaks it would be perfect if only the damn password wasn't there. I've tried all the usual guesses but to no avail. Be a good lad Tony. Let us in on the secret, or at least give us a clue. :-/ ???This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Cheeky, the password is there for TWO reasons. Firstly so that the format of the spreadsheet cannot be altered, which leads nicely on to the second reason..... The spreadsheet works as it does using a series of Macros, these macros allow for the clicking of buttons and using the keyboard shortcut's. I'm afraid the password stays, but I am intrigued by the idea of having "Free" text cells to add your own personal expenses / incomes into. ;D
This spreadsheet will undergo atleast one more upgrade so that I am able to develop spreadsheets for other software packages in addition to forming a layout for the online version. Your suggestions may'be included with the approval of Martin.0 -

No complaints from me, worked as soon as I downloaded it and very easy to use, thanks all.0

Don't do that you'll make me feel bad, to answer your question....... Yes, it's a good idea. Many of the problems which have been brought to my attention involve incompatability issues, im sure those whom have used the spreadsheet will agree Martin has done an excellent job at ensuring it's use has been fully explained.0 -
** The Spreadsheet has come into being from a lot of hard work and effort from Tony H, who, in turn, has handed the copyright of it to Martin.
Although the password may be frustrating to those who want to amend it, we respect the right of Tony to prevent any links to places that remove this password on display in the forums.

???I have downloaded but can't use the spreadsheet the message I kept getting is "macros are disabled because security level is high and macros have not been digitally signed or verified as safe" I then changed the settings on my computer to low and it would not let me access the excel file. Please help me I am very confident with excel but this one has got me?

This happened to me the first time I used it. After I changed the settings to low, I closed the file then opened it up again and it worked fine.Bulletproof0

JimJam, thanks for that....... But you've missed the other anonymous people whom have helped, the "testers". Without these people it would have taken much longer to come to fruition, these are the people whom readily spotted the errors and kept me informed.
You may have noticed that there are a number of new threads regarding this spreadsheet & the article on the main site has changed, to reflect these changes I have updated the spreadsheet & forwarded to MSE_Webby (Brendan) for uploading onto the server. The new spreadsheet is Version Number 15.07.2004 I am sure Brendan will let you all know when it's available.
The most important fix in the new version is that it has been "Digitally Signed" which will address the opening / security problems that some have been experiencing.0
