Spreadsheet looks good except with resizing facility disabled and no horizontal slider it isn't possible to get to the buttons and use the sheet.
Can this be changed e.g. to resize to 85% OR to have a slider.

Hello, desperate to get your budget spreadsheet but through all my attempts all I get is a blank page that tells me it has been downloaded but as a blank page.
It tells me that "access to the specified path has been denied".
Please help.

Hi,
Downloaded the spreadsheet and opened it but was then faced with a lot of gobbledygook!Looked like the wrong format but as I am naive with computers am not sure.

Download Notes: This is an Excel spreadsheet and requires a unzip programme. Simply click 'save' and then open the file once it has downloaded. While we have made every endeavour to make sure the download is virus free, please do use your own virus checker, this site takes no responsibility for any viruses inadvertently transmitted.
This is taken from the "Money Diet Budget Guide", which has been included in the Money Tips. It is nice to see just how popular this tool is. I appologise to those whom have downloaded this file with anticipation only to find it's not suitable for the computer system configuration, be it due to the operating system they use or the spreadsheet application.
A number of people have included their system / software details in the postings. I have no objections for creating alternative solutions and they will be created in order of popularity.0 -
I've had a play around with this, but what worries me now that I've put all my details into it is this... how do I know it's secure? How do I know it hasn't just sent all this information off to be stored online somewhere? Is there any proof that this is a secure document? I have broadband that's on constantly, so it may be sending all kinds of details away when I click "Save & Exit" and I'd never know. I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, as someone's obviously put an extraordinary amount of effort into this, but where are the guarantees and the security information? Has anyone checked it?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Ali, Most people have firewalls installed on their pc's along with other utilities such as virus & spywear checkers. I use Zone Alarm when I click on any of the links which bring you back to the website "ZoneAlarm" pops up to warn me that MS Excel is attempting to access the internet. Do you get a warning when saving the file. Nope, you don't. I can only offer you my personal assurance that this will not happen with solutions I create. Once completed I add password protection to protect both the layout and functionality of the solutions. During the course of my day to day work I have to comply with the Data Protection Act amongst other's. As Martin has stated, he has made every effort to ensure the "File" reaches you in perfect condition.
I hope this reassures you, if you have further questions regarding this spreadsheet please feel free to ask.0
