3 weeks after he thinks he impregnated you.
This is, of course, highly unlikely, but it does suggest you need to sit down and have a discussion about when you'll have kids.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Okay, thanks. Is it going to cause a great deal of harm if I continue taking my pill for those few more days?
We've discussed that already. But my boyfriend seems to have become a little less terrified of the idea. Eg he seems relatively calm if I do turn out to be pregnant now. A month or so ago he would've been distancing himself from me until we found out for sure, and going "OMG. I don't want a baby..."
So I'm sure I'd have his support if it did come back positive. Obviously, not in the greatest position for raising a child, but we could manage at a stretch.
I honestly don't think I am, but then I'll have those moments going "What if?"0 -
Sounds to me like you might have other reasons for thinking you might be pregnant? Like maybe not taking your pill properly(or at all)
You seem quite eager for it to be positive and you've already done one test so YOU must think theres a good chance you will be pregnant.
Quite frankly if I was taking my pill regularly I would not be wasting money on a pregnancy test because my OH had a "feeling". Maybe he's got a feeling you're going to make him a Daddy with or without his consentHow does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?0 -
A period is usually due 14 days after ovulation (the time when you're likely to conceive) so if you were ovulating at the time you had sex, then 14 days later would be the time to test (when the period is missed), although it still may not show up that early depending on how strong the pregnancy hormone is in your body. The timings are not exact when on the pill, but ovulation is typically days 13-15 on a 28 day cycle. It definitely wouldn't have shown up 2 days afterwards lol!
Saying that, being on the pill makes it highly unlikely you conceived if you took it correctly and the 'feeling' your boyfriend got is just a feeling, he would have no way of knowing it happened. You wouldn't really have many symptoms (if any) this early on, any you feel are likely to be psychological and caused by the thought that you might be pregnant.0 -
When you test, use your first pee of the morning for the most acurate result, as any pregnancy hormone will be more concentrated then and so will show up easier.
I agree though, if you've been taking the pill regularly it's highly unlikely to be +ve. Hope you get the result you want - don't forget to update us on here!!0 -

Uh, actually I take my pill perfectly..
No, I did one test which was like 2 days after my BF had that feeling. And thus I need to do one for THAT occasion.
Um, the pill is not 100% effective. My stepmother got pregnant with my sister whilst on the pill, a couple of other people I've heard recently got pregnant whilst on the pill. It's absolutely nothing like that, and with this particular person I'm with, a feeling is something very important. You never trust your intuition and found it come true?
And the way he described it, it was a feeling of perhaps wanting a baby, like thinking perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea, before the thought of how would we cope, money worries etc struck in. He's just weirded out because he rarely gets normals feelings let alone intuitive ones like that.
I'm putting both our minds at ease. And as I've said I honestly don't believe I am pregnant, how does that add up to wanting the test to be positive?0 -

I shouldn't really be ovulating, but the way the Dr described this particular pill seemed a bit iffy, like "We're not really sure how it works..."
I know it wouldn't have shown up 2 days afterwards, time for the egg to settle etc. I was doing a test for the time before, incase it had been a different occasion and he was just getting the feeling "You're pregnant" and now I'm planning to take one incase it was "I've JUST got you pregnant".
This kind of feeling, when I get them, tend to come spookily true. So I just want to be cautious.0 -

Thanks, I know. And I'm pretty sure it's going to come up negative, but as I say I want to MAKE SURE. It's better to take the test and find out I'm not pregnant, than assume I'm not and continue drinking, taking pill etc and find out later that I am/was and I've damaged my kid... Don't you think?0 -
I got pregnant whilst on the pill and taking it correctly. Never got a feeling about it though - except perhaps 'ohmygod!!'MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Which pill are you on?
If it stops you ovulating then there's no chance of pregnancy (no egg = no baby), it it doesn't stop you ovulating then 14 days after that would be the time to test.0
