Has anyone tried the sainsbury's test's I bought a box last week £4.95 for two tests. Both were void, the left box went totally purple and the right box (where the control line indicator should be) stayed white. Any ideas?

I had terrible cramps on Saturday morning and a bit of spotting but nothing since I'm now three days late and feel really sick.

I really want to be pregnant so don't know if I'm just imagining side effects, I phoned the nurse and she sai to try clear blue on the first wee of the day.

on my last pregnancy i did a shop bought test - negative. i was sure it was wrong so went to the chemist with a little pot of pee (13 years ago and they did the tests for you) - negative. still convinced i was pregnant so went to the doctors and he did a test - negative. and guess what lol - yes i was pregnant. felt like giving the doctor the 'told you i was right' speech lol.

When I thought I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago I got OH to pop down asda, all they had was clear blue, It was 9pm on a thursday so to have gone to poundland would have meant waiting till sat driving 30 mins there and back and paying for parking, and I know the doctor does it for free and this site is money saving but somethings you just want to know for sure ASAP.

As i went upstairs to do my test OH said at least you've got the most sophisticated piece of technology you'll ever pee on, but I had to inform him it was not and just like the cheap tests has lines to work out. His jaw dropped to the floor and he just said it cost that much and its not the most sophisticated piece of technology! Nevermind there was a faint line so I'm pregnant as I suspected!

The test I've done have always been negative when I havent been pregnant and positive when I have been, regardless of how much they cost, and I've used all sorts so I personally find them very reliable.

I use tests from Savers, they are £1 each but when they run out I am buying from accessdiagnostics. The more you buy the cheaper they work out, you can get 10 for £3 and thats with free delivery.

I used the cheapo ones from wilkinsons. I found they were very reliable. I actually had a VERY faint positive a week before my period was due! I just felt different and I was SO tired! Plus I didn't feel like a glass of wine!
I thought it was evaporation line to begin with as it was so faint.
THe more expensive are not nec. the best!
    Mine were £1.99 for 2.

Hi there - I too had lots of negatives with DS2 - including at the drs. But I just KNEW I was pregnant. The most obv thing was a sudden dislike for wine! In the end a savers cheapo test brought up a positive result. If you think you could be preg, keep testing!

actually clearblue digital are LESS reliable than the normal clearblue as they absorb less of the hormone than the normal one. ive used the normal ones an always found them to be correct. If you are still concerned go to the docs and get a blood test done

Well it's a long time ago now but whilst most of the symptoms (as someone has said) mimic pre-period ones it's difficult to tell. However, i do remember the one thing that I noticed the most was an early, almost immediate, and strong aversion to tea and coffee. Not everyone gets that of course, but if you have...:D

    Me too, both times!

    Congratulations 1day! :j
