Not usually. You're more likely to get a false negative than a false positive :)

I just got some from here

    http://pregnancykits.net/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=4

I ordered 10. Delivery was free - I ordered them yesterday afternoon, and five of those were with me this morning. Not bad huh :D
I don't know where the other five are mind. I'll give them a couple of days, and if they haven't arrived, I'll get back in touch.
I suppose it depends how far on you are. someone mentioned accessdiagnostics, and I'm sure they do ultra sensitive tests that will tell you before your period is even due? They're a bit more pricey than the ones I have just got, but reading reviews they're a good test.
Proud to be dealing with my debts :T

Don't throw away food challenge started 30/10/11 £4.45 wasted.

    Storecard balance -[STRIKE] £786.60[/STRIKE] £708

I know, it's just a pain in the bum trying to get to my Dr every month. However, home tests don't seem all that accurate. :rotfl:

My gp wouldnt book you in (for anti natal) unless your pregnancy was confirmed by the surgery because they classed home tests as inacurate. But I do understand the need to know...All I can suggest is that if you are ttc always wait 5 or 6 weeks between af before considering testing..then you will save yourself money because of testing too early etc. But it is true that you often simply "know" when you are!. I was told I woundnt be able to concieve after 2 years of no af, but when myself and dh got back from our honeymoon I new something was different. I did a home test a couple of weeks later(no late af to guide me!!) but because my chest had increased in size quite dramatically:eek: :rotfl: and the home tests (yes I did 2 !)were both possitive!

It was with my dd that I had a neg result but I knew I was..by the time ds2 was here I just went straight to gps!
JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200:D FEB GC £197.31 out of £180:o. MARCH GC - out of £200

My Drs never did this and they gave me Maternity Exemption Certificates when they booked me in for the Scan - they just took my word for it.

If you have a walk-in centre near to you, then they will do a pregnancy test there and then. So will family plannig clinics.

my first pregnancy, the surgery booked me in straight away as I'd done 3 positive tests at home.

the second, I'd only done 1 test as I knew I was pregnant and the test confirmed what I already knew, the dr insisted on doing another test before passing me onto the midwife.

Same Dr, different day. Ah, consistency.;)

Not wanting to get your hopes up but a 'false negative' result is perfectly possible, especially if you are still very early on. I certainly wouldn't conclude that I am not pg because of a first negative test.
