I think the early stages of the menopause are called 'peri-menopause'. Maybe Googl'ing that would help :)

could be the change or could jut be normal. The average woman misses one period a year apparently

I totally agree with you. I have missed a few in my time and when asked my GP has said quite a few things can make you miss a period. Stress being a major cause and also not ovulating that particular month.

I don't worry about it but if I missed 2 in a row I'd call my GP for advice.

Aye -or climacteric period. You can only diagnose menopause after it has happened, which is generally taken as 1 year since cessatin of menstruation in the over 50's or two years in the under 50's...

    Hi all again

Sister in law forgot to mention that she is also taking the herbal tablets. AGNUS CASTUS. 1000mg. one a day. When you look this up on the web it actually causes a slight delay with periods. She said since taking them over the last 7 weeks she hasn't felt any better at all. Another question for the doctor this afternoon

Any further advise or anyone who has taken these would be great help

I first used a cheap pregnancy test and it worked fine :-) I bought a more expensive one after just to make sure :-)

I've taken Agnus Castus (when trying to concieve) and it did delay my ovulation and hence my period after only taking about 14 days worth of tablets. I stoppped taking them and it still took a while (another couple of weeks) for everything to return to normal.

It is very likely that these could be the cause.
