    Morning everyone!

Sorry to hear about all the youngsters having trouble. Nothing worse than seeing them come home in a state and feeling unable to do anything about it. I hate bullying, its so cowardly.

Ive got to hoover this morning and also get the BM on. Got plenty of washing to do too, including the covers of the dog bed because new puppy messed all over them. :( (Not a nice smell to wake up to!) Also need to walk the dogs, for my good as much as theirs!

Having hm chilli later for tea. My favourite! Yum!
  • Morning all, got to get a move on in a minute but thought I'd just log on and see how everyone is :grouphug:

Got dinner in the slow cooker already - a pork and apple braise (no idea how it's going to taste, it's an experiment ;) ), had HM muffins for brekkie and will have HM soup and HM wholemeal roll for lunch, so a good OS day.

Right, today the plan is to deep clean DS20's room now that he's flown the nest, got it tidied up on Sunday along with the mess under the stairs that he left behind  so I've got to get going with the MF cloth and vacuum cleaner. If I'm never heard of again, it's because I'm buried under a pile of old socks and dirty t shirts.

    Have a good day, all

I don't know! It just doesn't feel the same here today. I don't know who I can reply to and when, what I can say, how I can say it. Tired of biting my tongue and feeling puzzled so I think I'm heading over to Organised Home to see what their set up is, if nicki is a mod there then there must be a few more like minded UK bods there too. See you later peeps, I have enough problems with biting my tongue around DH without having to do it online too.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

  • Good morning all, except our antipodean buddies, for whom it's Good Evening!!

I've got nothing interesting to say, except it seems very flat in here today. The sparkle really has gone. let's hope it's only a temporary blip!

The only OS thing I'm doing today is to use my slow cooker for the second time, having enjoyed yesterday's offering very much!!

Have good days, enjoy your evening AussieLass!!;) :D

Neither of the board guides are on line at the moment, and I don't want to tread on any toes, but I read the general concencus to be:-

    1) Please start the daily thread AFTER you've been to sleep, not before ;)

    and

    2) By all means to reply to any individual posts or posters who have posted earlier if you have something to add or respond to, but do not feel obliged to mention every single post or poster.

    and

    3) Do please feel free to join the Daily Thread. Of course many of us have known each other for quite some time and that will show through - but we DO welcome new posters and it's surprising how fast you'll become a "regular" :)
Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. If it was you who mentioned elderberries - I made jam from them last year and in winter put a spoonful of it in hot water to make elderberry tea.
It is supposed to be a very old remedy to avoid colds and flu.

Welcome to everybody brave enough to post ( both regular members and newer contributors)

  • :hello: Good Morning All

DW emptied & kitchen tidied, both children off happily (might be pushing it a bit) to school and the sun is shining but it does feel a bit fresher now which is good.

WM just finishing and will put out on line and WILL be ironed tonight, am behind with a lot of stuff still but keeping on top of the ironing.:j

Am a little bit excited as am starting a Clait computer course today, have my bag already packed. Its in my favourite town where they are lovely shops and coffee shops so plan is will get there 2 hours before need to be at college, will run any errands such as banking etc at the same time and have a relaxed look around the shops looking out for Xmas bits. Will then treat myself to early lunch & nice coffee at my favourite posh coffee shop.

I know I might be annoying but plan to have in laws Xmas presents bought and wrapped up by the end of this month will then start on my family in October.

Didnt have jacket spuds last night but kids really want then tonight - tuna/mayo for them and prawns for OH & myself. So a nice easy dinner.

So all in all a nice day today and hopefully will learn something too. So off now - have a great day all.

Queenie - hope your course goes well too. I really want to learn spanish as spain is my favourite place to visit.

    Hello everyone,

Well I finished my tasks yesterday for my fresh OS start so I'm feeling quite chuffed (I did spend a bit too much time reading on here though :o)
I've got a load of washing on the line and I'm off to tackle the bathroom then bedrooms after a coffee.

Also, I'm feeling really pleased because I bought a "pre-loved" gameboy from ebay and it arrived this morning and is fantastic. It's for DS for Christmas - he's going to be over the moon! :T

Hope you all have a good day, and I really hope that things settle down - it's awful to see that regular posters are feeling that things aren't right here.

    Morning all!

Wonders will never cease - one of the dentists in town is now accepting new NHS patients! I hotfooted it round there yesterday and got the forms for me and DH:j

Washing machine on, powerpoint presentation written - well, not quite, but one out of two isn't too bad!

Will be making a pasta and chickpea soup for dinner -it's a Jamie Oliver recipe I was reminded of last night.

    Have a good day everyonE!
