:hello: Gooood morning everyone
Off to take some mags/books to my friend who's having radiotherapy, hopefully it will give her mind something else to focus on plus helps me with some decluttering.
Spanish class tonight and now I'm feeling nervous about it:laugh: D11yo has to come up with a theme for a dish for their International Food evening and I've printed off some recipes for him to look through.
Bought some student boxes half price from Tesco at the weekend so I have somewhere to put my stash of hobby magazines in the loft. Made a commitment that as I tidy round I'll shove them in the box bit by bit before taking up there.
Hope you manage to get some sleep Snowy, I confess to being extra tired today and could have done with a midday snooze to recharge my batteries, but I'm out an about.
Kyle, I'm sure it feels like you will never have a descent nights sleep in your life again, but, it *does* get better as they get older
To all who follow, wishing you a good day, in whatever way you spend it.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

anyway have a good day everyone0 -
Morning all
DH is away so I've been awake half the night, it's not the same without him. My builders started yesterday so the race is now on to keep up with the dust and mess they make, I'm hoping that by keeping all the windows closed and a good damp cloth and hoover through each day should keep the worst at bay.
I really do need to start sorting the freezer out, there's so many bits and bobs of meals in there that need using up, think DD's and I might have a hotch potch of bits tonight to use some of it up.....want to fill a shelf with bread that can be replaced with a turkey and some joints of meat for christmas a bit nearer the time.
Todays list includes moving the bookcase from the sitting room (empying the room bit by bit for when the builders move inside), giving it a good clean and dusting all the books off, moving my craft cupboard (already empty) into the shed (means a re-jig of bikes and scooters but I've invited a friend for coffee so she can help). I must clean out the parrot and give the kitchen floor a wipe over. Mt Fugi, otherwise known as the ironing pile needs attacking too.
Anyway - hope you all have a great day - I'm off to fire up the shower and get the kettle on, Happy Tuesday all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

I would have thought so, but it's not the case IME. However, is there a problem saying the recipe is in "Fabulous Reipes" by "Fabulous Cook" on page 75323??

morning all
chillier today but havnt got heating on yet, didnt get any bargains in asda yesterday but got sugar so jam making later
will have a trip up the woods to get some elderberrys and thought i would put them in with the apple and bramble jam, elderberrys are supposed to be anti aging so guess i will need a lot
also have a quite big copper beech seedling that i need to plant up there, have one there already and its doing well, we had permission to take firewood from there and so spent a lot of time gathering sticks
dinner - sausage casserole - sausages, tin of toms , water and pkt savoury rice, curry flavour, very tasty, in slow cooker, not in for too long though
big hugs to all xx0 -
:rotfl: @ moggins ... For moggins and cat
Racy, thank you for the copyright post.Yes, E'lass, this one is from a book; as I'm not absolutely certain of the copyright rules when it comes to books, I still hesitate to post it
But, I'll PM you Racy when I PM the others, or until someone can give a definitive answer.
Pen Pen - probably no consolation, but I also feel very deflated by that thread tooNot sure myself anymore
Anyway, I'm going to solve my dilema by going out and not thinking about it today after I log out.

Morning all:wave:
Oh, Pooky I can't sleep either when OH is away. He took the kids camping for a week in the hols and I didn't get any sleep all week -mind you I enjoyed the rest of the week, lovely peace and quiet.
Plans for today
Nip into Worcester to get a magazine for dd - it's got a fluffy white dog on it apparently :rolleyes:They'd sold out at Tesco.
Bake for school tuck shop- flapjacks and some kind of muffins
Possibly clear a patch of garden I want to turf over - am inspired by Rainbowrisin's advice on how to eat pies and be slim on the pie thread yesterday ie; move more
Breakfast - porridge and toast for kids/yogurt and plums for me
Lunch - Rollmop herrings, salad and crispbread, fruit
Supper- something with leftover roast pork, curry possibly ?
Edited to say that we've run out of bread so the kids had leftover muffins for breakfast, and I couldn't be bothered with porridge so they had hm yogurt and honey.0
