  • Good morning :D

Well, yesterday didn't go too badly - 5 loads through the WM, and most dry (and added to the ironing pile - argh!), all the washing up done from the party (although hubby still hasn't worked out what the cupboards are for when emptying the washer, so the last load is stacked on the kitchen table at the moment), and various school runs etc completed.

Today - about 3 more loads of washing providing the weather holds, I have two school runs to do this morning as it's no.2 sons' nursery day today, then my very first mystery shop and some proper shopping, and yet more eBay parcels to post.

OS kicks in this afternoon as I have 7 eggs in the fridge with todays date on - so it's baking day - and probably eggy bread for tea (and what can be more OS than that :p ).

Have a great day everyone :D

Actually we do have quite a few recipes on the Scotland Board :)
  • My OS plans for today were to dig up the remaining beetroot and dig a patch of the garden over, make a cake and turn the remaining tomatoes into chutney but as DD woke me up at 3.45 I may just laze on the sofa and catch up with my CSI's.

Plus I have DS home sick from school, he's complaining that he feels sick and has a problem with his hand. I'm going to look into this as I feel something is going badly wrong at school and he just doesn't want to go.

Moggins - it is so good to hear that first paragraph - nice to know we don't have to be a domestic goddess every day :D

Hope your son is feeling better soon - we have a bit of a situation ourselves at the moment - eldest came home most days last week covered in mud, and yesterday with bruises from being dragged around the playground :(

Good Morning Everyone (Still seems very subdued on here)

Had a very good buy at tesco last nite - they had Mason Cash mixing bowls so I could replace my broken one (didnt know they sold them) - not only that they were discontinued so instead of £9.67 I paid £4.83! So I bought 2 (1 spare!). Also got a MasonCash Pudding Bowl £1.70.
Also got a lovely stainless steel cake tin reduced to £1.73! and an FM radio for £1 to hopefully listen on the train to work!

Todays task is booking car in for MOT. No baking as we still have cakes to eat up first! Not sure what to sort out for tea yet.

    Have a good day everyone.

I have a situation with girltroo - she rang me in tears at 9am yesterday, asking if she could come home. I said yes, she was in such a state I couldn't really understand her. She'd fallen out with a friend and a load of other girls decided to join in (nothing to do with the friend, they took it upon themselves to interfere). If the two of them had been left alone, they'd have sorted it out in 10 minutes. Anyway, they chatted last night and things are OK between them. I'm a bit worried that these girls will start again today so the mobile will be everywhere with me today, even in the shower  :D

Washer is on, I'm about to wash up then get ready for work. I'll hoover round downstairs. I won't be at work for long, I've left the laptop at the office so me and the boss have a computer each  There's 2 computers at work but no-one seems to know the password for one of them (it's actually the server) so we've been fighting over the one we can get into :rotfl:

Lots of ironing to do

    Might make some cakes

    Morning all:j

Read the big thread about the daily thread with interest. I think it's good to get these things out there.

Lillibet - Spanish does have masculine and feminine.

    Glad you're all doing well

DS of to school - last day of morning only. DD and I were going to do another long walk but it's starting to rain. She'll be ok in the buggy - but I'll get a bit wet. Achh well, probably good for me.

Pulled some bolognese out of the oven for tea. DH should be back around 9ish tonight.:happylove I might save him a glass of wine.

Off to buy yet more milk and fruit juice - I don't know how these kids go through so much of the stuff. I've given up on semi skimmed for DH and me. We had goats, whole cows, semil skimmed and sometimes skimmed in the fridge. It was ridiculous. It's not as if whole milk is very fatty anyway.

    take care y'all

    p

Edited to say - Lillibet, that sounds a bit harsh above. It's really not meant to, but it's hard to say things gently. I'm abrupt in real life so text is even worse. I did spanish for a couple of years at university 'til I went mad and did my honours in latin (huh?).

Dared to start to clear out the loft last night. Its amazing how much rubbish you end up accumulating up there. We've got a nice little pile of stuff that OH can take to his car boot....and well over 2 full bags of rubbish. Still lots more to do though.

Seems like a good time to have a serious clear out prior to bean putting in an appearance.

Its a casserole night tonight, so we have more time later to tidy and clear things up.

Starting to wonder if bean has moved. Last night she seemed to have taken up residence on one side of my belly. Am keeping everything crossed that she's finally decided to sort herself out.

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.

Washing is on the line but sitting here in p.js with a cup of tea trying to muster up my "get up and go" which has "got up and went!"

Tonight will be either a huge quiche or a home made pizza and may try to talk DH into driving me to Lidl for bits and pieces as have very little fresh fruit and veg in the house.

Think it may be the time of year to get big sack of spuds and onions as they are so useful.

Had great day out with DD yesterday and got a lovely lightshade in lilac with crystal beading for £4.99 in Boyes so a really good price.

Had to go to Argos for a desk light and got one of the last three left so lucky there.

    Big hug to everybody.

This thread does seem a bit subdued as if we are all walking on eggshells - or maybe it is just me lol;)
