Morning one and all:hello:
Well I shall carry on as normal and post my usual drivel :rotfl:
BM is on as is the WM and two loads are drying on the line. The ironing pile is as big as ever but who caresLifes too short to worry about some things.
I treated myself to some new clothes and boots for Autumn/winter. Am fed up with wearing jeans and t shirts, and thanks to Sarahsaver for another thread, I am now wearing my hair in a chic french pleat. OS doesn't have to mean old and frumpy I decided:p:rotfl:
I plan to tidy the whole house just as soon as I get off here, and just pop back for the odd coffee break. Spent far too much time on here yesterday, what with one thing and another:rolleyes:
Happy day's everyone.

Not sure if we are still meant to do this, but i noticed that it is Johannes birthday today, and she is 21, so wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
Must admit, the thread has turned horrible at the moment, people not sure what they can post and what not, and as people are saying, its very subdued. Also a couple of things have happened over the last few days that have quite upset me (including something this morning) and i dont feel this is the friendly place it used to be, so im also going to look for somewhere else to go. Hope everyone continues with their OS ways, and wish everyone well.0 -
Morning :hello:
Feeling a bit dodgy this morning - coming down with a cough/cold bug I think. My throat is really tickly which does not bode well as I am going to a concert tonight and am not one of those inconsiderate people who coughs all the way through a concertNeed to invest in some Lockets, I think!
Today is "bin day" in my neighbourhood, and thanks to all my decluttering efforts (which, funnily enough, don't seem to have made much of a difference yet to the visual state of my room  ) plus my housemate's clearing out of YEARS worth of record collector's magazines, we had FIVE black bin liners full of rubbish and about TEN carrier bags full of paper for recycling:eek:
They'd been building up in the back porch since last week, and now they're gone and I can see the tumble dryer again
I have been attacking various bits of furniture etc. with a damp microfibre cloth and the amount of dust that has come off them is quite alarming
Next I need to clear out and empty the chest of drawers next to my bed, cos they're going on Freecycle. So is my bed! Not quite sure what to do about the bed, cos obviously I don't want to get rid of it until I have a new one. The idea was going to be that I would freecycle my current single bed where I live now, and get a double as soon as I move - now I'm not so sure. I think it might be a better idea to take the single with me when I move, and wait until the January sales to pick a new double. But space is at a premium in the new place so I just don't know.
The good news is that I logged onto my solicitor's online tracking service this morning and it does appear that progress is finally being made
See you later

Morning all :hello:
I agree with the other posters who have said that it is very subdued today. It would be a shame for this thread to die a slow, painful death because two or three people thought it should be managed differently. Let's hope the sparkle comes back soon.
WM is on, stardrops and microfibre cloth are at the ready in the bathroom just waiting for me to start. Won't be doing too much OS today as DS has an appointment at the orthodontist at lunchtime. Really breaks the day up unfortunately.
Heading onto the Cooking by Numbers website for some inspiration for dinner tonight. Have tons of chicken and a mountain of tinned toms that need using. Think some kind of mediterranean casserole might be the order of the day.
cheer up everybody! Don't let the bu**ers grind you down!

catowen, please don't jump ship too soon!! It wouldn't be the same without you!
It is very fraught in here today, but that's just like friends falling out then making up again. Hopefully we'll be back on track in a day or so.
take care CMxxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
I agree with churchmouse!
If more people jump ship i will end up with an
I miss *****
etc. etc. etc.
That will be miles long!!!!
As anniebooklover put it
Don't let them grind you down!!!

:hello: Morning everyone! and a whole lotta ((((HUGS)))) as I think they are much needed at the moment!
This is getting worrying now, I wasn't going to post on here myself for a while, until things settled down but have got all brave and decided to stand up and be counted as too many lovely people look like they are going to jump ship. Please, Please don't! Who will remind me that the slowcooker needs to be filled and turned on in order for a lovely stew to be wafting delish smells through the house all afternoon? Ditto the breadmaker!
Who will guide me through my flying lessons and navigate me to a nice clean house where I might even be able to find dd's bed!!!:D
And what about those great bargains (Thank you shez by the way - Tescos here I come!) I normally just find the empty shelves! It is lovely to hear how well everyone is doing but lovely too to be able to offer support if it is needed and I hope that never changes.
I'll get my coat then!
OS wise today I am making more wholemeal bread and some butternut squash soup.
Totally un os wise I have booked hairdressing appointment this afternoon at far too much money to cheer me up!:o
Love Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Hello everyone! Dumpy waves madly.
OH collapsed with acute bronchitus yesterday so I had to sort out doctors and prescriptions. Bless him I left him tucked up in bed when I came to work. His prescription only cost £3 I'm not sure if this is a Welsh Assembly thing? I seem to remember it costing more last time I went.
So because of this I'm very non OS today and didn't get anything done before I came to work but I did make HM rolls and biscuits last night for packed lunch today and managed to make packed lunch thankfully as pennies are tight this month and I can't afford a lunch out.
Need to nip into town at lunchtime and stock up on tissues for the OH, I think Savers is the cheapest and I'm bulk buying at the moment.
Must resist the stardrops, I have one fullish bottle so I don't NEED another but I may be tempted by a microfibre cloth.....0 -
Hello everyone,
Well my day hasn't been to plan. The timbers didn't turn up till quite late in the day so couldn't start the painting. But on the plus side I did get the house cleaned, ironing done & odd jobs finished all ready to start the painting tomorrow.
BgnRzl Definatly go for a queen sized bed. More room for a bit of action.
CM I am expecting a phone call tonight but will tell you all about that later on. I know it's not OS  but I'm sure you will all want to know about it.
Off to have a surf & a nosy around. Talk later. ByeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
