Hi Y'all, and a special hi to any newbies or peeps who feel ignored:wave:. I've not read the thread yet but will later.
Here's my doings for today:
Dinner:
HM Tuna and sweetcorn coleslaw type thing with green salad, HM game chips and crusty bread. Yesterdays left-over rhubarb crumble with custard.
Already Done:
Paid2clicks, Dishwashing, Cheque accounts balanced, House tidying
To do:
Take the kidz to the library after school, Design some posters for the church notice board, Sla[p dinner together and wash kidz lunch boxes.
I'm also trying to do some Autumn pruning and gardening so everyting looks ship-shape before the weather turns cold. I'm trying to do an hour a day which I have to do in 10-20 minute sections because I have a fused disc in my back which makes bending and a lot of movement really painful. Funily though I can walk for miles and never get a twingeI got the front done last week and have trimmed two more bushes this morning and may do another after lunch. When I've done my gardens I then go up to my Dad's because he can't manage his gardening alone. You aught to see us it's like Lourdes only in reverse we start off reasonably OK and end up crippled and writhing in agony:rotfl:

Beachbeth - sometimes it's lovely to go into a cafe or quiet pub by yourself for a drink, lunch and browse of a newspaper. I'm a solitary person by nature, and I find it a very calming and fulfilling experience
Restaurants - not so much, I mean it's not that I feel self-conscious being there by myself, just that I'm likely to be there for a good chunk of time and it feels odd without somebody to talk to
I've travelled around a bit by myself within the UK and I can honestly say that the only times I wish I had a companion are (1) in restaurants having an evening meal, and (2) when going through stations/airports with bulky luggage, and having to drag it all into the loo cubicle with you cos there's nobody to mind it for you!

Have had a not-at-all-OS lunch (baked spuds with cheese, out of a packet from Tesco - reduced to clear and looked filling, which it was) Tonight when I get home I'm sure I'll have some more of my fish pie though - made to a recipe off here (by apprentice tycoon if I recall correctly) with some adjustments to the quantities plus the addition of some salmon  - normally I put parsley in the sauce too, but I made it on Sunday and couldn't find a shop with any fresh parsley left.
I am now craving some really good cheese, so I think I'm going to pop out to the Borough Market branch of Neal's Yard Dairy and try not to spend too much :drool:Operation Get in Shape

Afternoon everyone :hello:..............It's lunchtime at school, so I thought that I'd quickly pop on here and say hi to all oldies and newbies :hello:..............I've had a very lazy lunch today..... a cup a soup type thing. Aaaahhh well, such is life!! Luckily I've only got art to "teach" this afternoon, so I won't pass out from lack of calories (I've got enough round my waist if I do burn off the cup a soup
). I'm in no way an art specialist, but luckily my Teaching Assistant is pretty excellent so I let her expertise come out...................I'm hoping that I won't have much work to take home tonight. There's always something to mark, but I'm trying to organise my time better so that I do it in school. I'm still struggling on that. ..................... Supper tonight will be honey soy salmon with rice. It's a recipe that I got from a Good Food Magazine a couple of years ago and has now become a "treat" meal for us! Yellow stickered salmon, to make it a little cheaper
.................. Children are coming in now, so I'll go.................. bye all

 Hello,After reading yesterdays thread and seeing all the newbies posting today I thought I'd pop in to say Hi.I read everyday and love to know what all of you are up to.I'm gradually trying to implement some OS into family life and picking up more as i go along, but I think I'm picking up some sort of subliminal messaging from here as I seem to read and forget but then have uncontrollable urges to buy white vinegar by the gallon!!!Anyway since I've been reading the DT I have:
Ditched the TD and bought an airer, saving about £15 a month in electricity.
Started baking and cooking from scratch more(only trouble is they run out twice as quick now!!)
Meal plan(thus saving quite a large portion of my OH's hard earned cash to spend on more pleasurable pursuits)
Sold stuff at a bootsale
It really does seem as if my whole perspective on things has changed(defiantly for the better)and I have all of you to thank for that:T0 -
Afternoon all!
I've just been to Asda with a budget of £50 for the next seven days and come back having spent £60.Mind you, that was spread over 88 items and I did buy a couple of little gifts for DS, a birthday card for his best love girl's birthday on Friday and enough pork chops to sink a battleship, as they were marked down to less than half price. OH made me chuckle when he was trying to put the freezer bits away. He opened the freezer and commented "you've filled this blooming thing up with flippin' lentils, haven't you?". I don't know what he means - it was only seven portions of lentil casserole and I've eaten two of those already!
:rotfl:
We're going to have a go at Pollock for tea tonight. Never had it before, but I gather its a perfectly acceptable type of white fish - and a darned sight cheaper than cod or haddock - so if anyone has any advice on cooking Pollock, I'd be glad of it!
I have had "vac upstairs" on my to-do list for the last three days and still haven't done it - and can't see my getting to it today, either, as OH wants to go into town prior to collecting DS from school. Hey ho, its all exercise, I suppose! However, if I still haven't "vac'd upstairs" by tomorrow evening, I want you to administer a swift kick to the bottomly cushions.
As the old song says, "Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye", as I'm off to brave the back-to-front new road systems around town. MEEP!!
B : Shreddies with a handful of Sugar Puffs over the top for camouflage
L : Lovely lentil lunch and h/m w/meal toast.
D : Pollock fillets, new potatoes, veg .. and a nice bit of parsley sauce.
Hugs to all in need .. oh, alright, and everybody else as well. :rotfl: Don't want you to feel left out!:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -

Afternoon all :hello:
I've been really busy but at the same time I feel really lazy :rotfl: This morning I made beds, cleaned the bathroom, packed DD off to school with a note, washed 1 batch of dishes (some needed to soak  ), hoovered the livingroom and kitchen floors, I've done 2 loads of washing which are just about staying on the washing line in this wind :rotfl:Oh and answer somewhere in the region of 10 phone calls from my mum :rotfl: Shes just got a big package of family history stuff and keeps ringing me to tell me thingsI don't mind as it's someone to talk to plus I'm making notes to update my copy of the family tree. The reason I feel lazy is that I've been on the computer since 10am
DD has gone off to school even though she's not 100% (she had to go to see her friends!!!! :rotfl: ) and OH has gone off to work with almost no voice as he's got a sore throat  So I need to think up something soft and squishy for tea, PLUS it needs to be fairly quick as we're off to my mums tonight to see Johanne for her birthday (got her card & pressie sitting here waiting to be wrapped).
Rest of the afternoon will be spent washing more dishes, trying to come up with something for tea and doing something for ME for a bitI've come up with a plan of attack for the housework so I no longer do my mad "clean right through" jobs on every other Friday..so far so good. Its written down in my Pukka pad and I'm hoping to stick to it. Today I was supposed to do a "white" wash but I'm going to wait for DD & OH to come in from school's first then I can wash their stuff from today at the same time.
Breakfast : Toast & coffee
Mid-morning : Coffee x 2 & banana
Lunch : Mushroom cup-a-soup  and mixed dried fruit
mid-afternoon : apple & coffee
Tea : Something squishy :rotfl:
Off to put the dishes away.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
