    Evening all :hello:

Betheebee, so sorry to hear about your friend. It's worse, I think, when somebody dies unexpectedly like that, as nobody's prepared for it. ((((Hugs)))) to you and yours.

PP, welcome home :j  and Benthosboy, welcome back ;):DSmokybabe, lovely to see you - have a :grouphug:

twink - thanks for what you said yesterday to tell my mum about my sis's Iraq tour... of course her reaction was "Oh yes, that's just what (sis) said" Hmmmm, mums are born to worry I suppose :D

((((Hugs)))) too to all I have overlooked or forgotten to mention - it's tricky to take everything in when you come into the thread late in the evening...

I had a lovely time with my mum yesterday but have been feeling a bit under the weather ever since - got a tummy upset last night (due to which I spent £20 on a cab home from town  but told myself that as it was for medical reasons it can come out of the cash put aside for optician/dentist/prescriptions!) and have had not a lot of appetite and a nauseous headache all day today  Great, on a day when I had not one but two "foodie" social gatherings to go to... Anyway, have been pacing myself all day at both our church choir lunch and my friends' BBQ (which the weather thankfully cleared up for!), am feeling a bit better now, and am sure it's just a mild bug. I'm glad to be home now - I've had such a busy week/weekend, and am delighted that I have no plans or obligations between now and Tuesday morning :D

I experimented with a new bus route to get home from my friends' house (well, not a new bus route - new to me I mean) and followed it in the A-Z so I could see where I was going. I really must get cycling. I could have done it via a more direct route, and probably quicker too. It's about 9 or 10 miles by the best cycle route, and I'm sure the bus took a route of 15  10 miles is the sort of distance I'm sure is reasonable to cycle once my fitness and experience are sufficient...

Anyway must stop waffling... see you later or tomorrow.

    Love Rzl xx

    Evening All

Had a very busy couple of days. Went out Friday night, then met a friend yesterday morning, before dashing to another town for an am dram production, then straight out for a hen night. All I can say if I feel very sorry for the poor waiter!!

Spent today at home recouperating!!! Also I'm broke, as I only use my "internet money" for going out. So need some more surveys to come through.

Put some more security stuff on the laptop and cleared up the disc space. Had a lovely dinner of liver and bacon. Had sister and BIL over for dinner. BIL did some DIY for Mum whilst here.

Well off to bed in a bit so night all

Wasn't sure wether to start tomorrows or just jump in here ... well I've not been to bed yet so guess it still counts as today.

Woohooo - welcome back to Pen-pin - so sorry that you're in pain - hopefully you will start to feel better now you're home - just don't try to do things too quickly - try to be a lady of leisure for once
woohooo again - welcome back to Martyn - we couldn't for the lives of us figure out what you've been up to all this time - ho hum

Well we're just back from our day trip to france - did you know there is chuff all to do in calais and that what little there is is mostly closed on a sunday - for all that dd(11) says it was the best holiday ever - she's so easily pleased. Got a bit worried coming back that we wouldn't get our train in time - getting into london is ok but coming this far west on a sunday can be iffy. Not helped by dd(22) phonng every 15 minutes to see how far we were despite being told at least a dozen times that my battery was low and that I was trying to save it in case I had to get a cab. I got a bit shouty on the last occasion only to be told that sorry to bother me and all but she had figured out what time we would get to the last station and her bf would be waiting to pick us up - oooooops

hugs to the poorlies and anyone else who needs one
