    Morning all
Thanks for posting Smokey & PP, I'm sure you'll feel better now you are home. Martyn, glad you had fun.
Yesterday was fun as Tia followed me everywhere, but she seem more settled today, she has decicded to sleep by the front door, that way she can monitor all the coming & goings.

catowen/pink-winged - I agree about the food prices, its not just a few pence its 50p-£1's!!! cat, milk is on 2 for £2 in asda atm. Surely at the rate its going it wont be very OS to do yr own baking with eggs, milk, butter, flour gone up so much!!?? and like most people have said - their wages have not jumped up as much to cover it.

Petrol stations have got stingers to stop people filling up and driving off! and I've heard that "oil" (for heating) stealing has shot up by 40% - people coming out in the morning and their tanks have been emptied!! What is going on?????

Tru - love the piccies!!! they are so cute.

    Good Morning All

PP - Glad to see you back, hope you make a speedy recovery - are you able to eat at the moment?

    (((Smokey)))

    Tru - Love the pictures

Shez/Catowen - it really is scary - we have worked out that if the diesal keeps rising that in the next two months we will have to go to our client to give him notice as the business will be making a loss and that is with us not taking wages. Am really worried not just because of our businesss - crime levels are so high nowdays and that has been when the economy was in a better shape - what on earth is it going to be like now and in the near future. Our friend who is a policeman (quite high up) has had his shifts changed so he is home during the week and works long shifts all weekends as they cant keep up with the violent crime at the weekends - that doesnt even cover thefts etc.

I am glad we live in a rural area, think I would be even more worried it I lived in a town.

Today it hasnt stopped pouring since 4am. DD had a friend over for a sleepover, OH treated us all to breakfast at a golf range and DD's friend has now been dropped home. So we are at the moment having a chilling day. Think myself that I will get on with paperwork which isnt a nice thing to be doing on a bank holiday but I believe the weather is meant to be better from tues so least will be a little up straight then.

Have some ironing to do and will do that later, also have a craving for chocolate cake so think will try out the chocolate mayonaise cake today.

Hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend whatever you are doing.

    Good afternoon!

Still lazing in bed, must be the excitement from the Eurovision last night! dd3 took her scoring very seriously indeed, and I got told off several times for chatting lol!

HM fish and chips went down a treat, used Asda value frozen fish, and it was much liked by dd and oh! Gonna grab some more today and make fishy bites in breadcrumbs and fish pie for freezer - also getting my new freezer today.

Taught dd2 how to make onion rings last night, she was amazed that anyone buys them after seeing how easy it is! Her ambition is now to learn to cook everything like me - bless! Whilst we were doing it we were chatting and she was telling me about her friend who stayed last weekend, apparently she didn't believe we made bread, much less stuff like spag bol or pizza, cos you can get them from a tin or out the freezer. But apparently after a weekend with us she now understands why people make their own, cos she loved the food we have, ahh, nice girl, she can come again!

Mixed up pizza dough last night in BM, and left it to rise overnight, whoever once said that their fridge looked like it had a giant marshmallow in it, well I know exactly what they meant! Still that'll be lunch taken care of today, will pop gammon in SC I think for tea, nice with roasties, cheese sauce and cauli.

Well ds has tidied the sitting room and sorted out all the wires for charging the laptop and assorted phones that were in a big knot, and dd1 is clearing her room, guess that means I better get on and do my bit in the kitchen so I can get creating in there!

Also found some runner bean seeds and pots yesterday, shoved in the shoe basket for some odd reason, but must get them planted up, might give that job to dd3 and her friend who seems to have moved in for the hols! I'm seriously considering opening a children's hotel!

Have a lovely day all! xx
