    Morning all

PENPIN welcome back, hope you feel much better soon

BETHEEBEE what a way to treat someone's home, hugs to you.

PINK I managed to find a book in a charity shop with thousands of answers to the sort of questions boys ask. I also have a children's atlas and bought Robert Winstons Body Book. So when DS asked me continually how babies got out I could show him. His response was "no wonder it hurt!!!".

Hugs to anyone who may want one.

It's tipping down here. Need to nip to Asda and the farm shop. I expect DS is going to want to go swimming later. Have been feeling really quite fed up the past few days and am piling on the weight. It's stress, I always put on weight. Wish I was the other way around. Am supposed to be going out tonight to an 80's night. Don't really feel like it but I suppose I should if I can find something that fits me!

My lovely neighbour cut my hair for me yesterday, so at least it's looking better. It's long and curly with a mind of it's own!

Have a good day all, off to get organised.

    Good morning,

    HUGS.jpg

to pen-pin (good to see you back home) and to all others in need today.

It seems to have been a week of eveything breaking this week. DD decided she wanted something off the kitchen windowsill and stood on an open kitchen cupboard door to get it - crunch!!! BIL kindly screwed it back to the unit yesterday to cover the gaping hole and keep the door closed. DS1 tried to unbolt the back door this morning and the little handle thingy snapped off in his hand, 2 pictures have been knocked off the wall both times smashing the frames and LO managed to smash my grandmothers plate knocking it off the wall trying to get a spider. He had climbed on to the dining room table while my back was turned.

We have had 3 milk spillages (1 deliberate) which resulted in the naughty corner and DD spilling orange everywhere in the kitchen because the 2L carton was just too heavy for her to pour (she appears to be in trying to do everything herself mode).

I'm glad it is a new week, allthough it's half term so there may well be more dramas to come.

I have been pottering along with the big clean and the whole of the upstairs is done and the lounge. I am left with the kitchen, dining room and utility. It may take a while yet as it varies from day to day what I feel like doing.

Today I have to mow the front garden, sort out the shed (Eric's very last OMG when I open the door area) and see if there is any paint left to touch up the boys bedroom and stairs/hall area. Dinner will be chicken and tea hot dogs (maybe the other way around - I will see how we get on.)

I hope you are all having a good Sunday.

    Smoky. xx

Just popping in to say good morning. Must get into the habit of coming here more often as loose track of who is what IYKWIM!
Am getting there with my o/s ways but takes time to change habits of a 38 year old lifetime! Bread beeping as I speak (In the oven!). Today will be into town shopping for much needed clothes that fit and possibly out this eve but a slowish day for me! PP hope you feel better soon! Hello others!

Good Morning All! Pen-Pin - great to see you're home again. Hopefully you'll start to feel better again before too long - with all you've had it would be surprising if you weren't in a bit of pain right now, ((HUGS))
Smoky - lovely to see your post. You are doing so well, but I'm sure it's just a case of taking each day as it comes for months to come.
Went to early service this morning, and need to pop up to the cemetery with flowers as it would have been DS1's 35th birthday. Then I need to get on with packing for our few days away and do some sewing - including letting down the hems on the living room curtains I shrunk yesterday!
Hope you all have a good day today.

    Morning everyone :p

I've been up since the crack of dawn as couldn't sleep, but would have had to be up anyway to get OH up to go and help his friend sort out his allotment and lock up. Getting OH up before noon is a nightmare (he's out of work and his body clock is all over so he normally doesn't get to sleep til 5am!), getting him up at 7.30am is edging on impossible but I managed it! And his friend normally gives him a bit of money for helping him, which will come in handy right now!

His friend brought round a VAX with him that he has, said if I check it works then we can buy it off him cheap so that'll save me buying a new one. Going to give it a go soon and hopefully have a nice clean kitchen carpet again.

Last night we found half a bag of charcoal in the shed from last year so we had a BBQ which saved us from turning the oven on for the evening. We've been invited to a BBQ for tea tonight and another for lunch tomorrow so that'll save me having to cook a Sunday dinner today and finding something for lunch tomorrow. Sent OH to Tesco last night to use the £7.50 vouchers we received on some drinks to take tonight, I feel rude taking nothing even though our friends insisted that we needn't.

Will also be baking some cakes today, stocked up on flour and marg yesterday and have the rest of the ingredients in the cupboard, as far as I know. My planned no spend day is gonna go to pot though as just realised we're almost out of dog food and can't have Rude Boy going hungry!

PenPin ... we've never met as I'm new to these daily threads but have heard (well, read!) others mention you ... am glad you are home and hope you feel better soon :o

Have a nice day everyone !

    morning all,

Wet here today, we had heavy rain overnight, its flattened my redcurrant bush, hope it recovers.

Pen Pin, I am so glad you are home, take it easy and lots of rest, hugs xx

Today we are going to try and get DD'd room painted, it was done a few years back, but its getting grubby, and needs brightening up, she wants 3 white walls, and a feature wall of small circles in different colour paint  , should be interesting. :D

We have ribs for tea, might start them off in the sc then crisp off on the BBQ, we have bits and pieces left from last night's nibbles which will do for lunch.

I bought a lovely hosta yesterday from MR T, they are my favourite plant, I might go back today and get more, they had 4 or 5 different ones, so might treat myself.

Martyn, good to see you so happy, did you and ya jooles do nothing but cook all week :D

Smoky, good to hear from you, good luck with the shed xx

Well better get on, have good days all xx
