I always seem to be doing girly projects these days since I had my daughter :o

This one wasn't in the sale but what the heck:

I also posted this in the UFO thread, but for those of you who don't read that one, here's what I did on Monday! :T

My Mum has been promising me for ages to take me to this shop in Wales. I did go with another friend earlier this year on the way to Portmadog, but we got there about 10 minutes after the shop closed!
I called the Nimble Thimble on Friday to ask what her opening times were and she's closed on Sundays and Mondays-the only days I had free. However, when I mentioned we were travelling quite a way (about 130 miles), she told me she comes into the shop on Mondays to water the plants and collect the post, so if we could get there for 10:30am, she'd happily let us look round. So we got up at 7am  to make sure we had plenty of time to get to the shop.
And it was totally worth it! :D Chris was really lovely and when we got there, showed us around the shop, made us coffee and let us have a good look at all her wonderful charts. The shop mainly stocks American charts-lots of Lizzie Kate, Waxing Moon, Pine Mountain, Raise The Roof, etc-but has some other kits and lots of gorgeous framed pictures on all the walls. Mum & I were in heaven! :j:j:j We were there over an hour and there was no pressure to hurry up. Chris let us browse to our hearts content. I ended up spending almost £50 on charts and buttons and Mum also bought several charts. I can't wait to go back again!

    Here's what I bought...
The buttons for 'Everyone brings Joy' and 'Welcome to the Nuthouse'.
Lizzie Kate - Sampling Halloween Quick-it

Lizzie Kate - Autumn ABC's Snippet
    http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/it...l?item=01-1495
Lizzie Kate - Dear Santa, I can explain... Snippet
    http://www.lizziekate.com/lizzie-s19dearsanta.htm
Lizzie Kate - Autumn Things chart pack
    http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/it...l?item=06-2207
Lizzie Kate - All Things Christmas chart pack with buttons and fabric
    http://www.lizziekate.com/lizzie-060...schristmas.htm
Raise The Roof - What side? (This was stitched up on the wall and looked so much nicer than the picture on the chart. It was stitched on lilac evenweave instead of the white shown on the chart)
    http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/it...l?item=06-1138
Forever In My Heart - Cross Stitching Fills My Days
    http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/it...l?item=07-1301
Sue Hillis Designs - Christmas Spool Tree (Again, looks so much nicer stitched up than in the picture)
    http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/it...l?item=01-2411

I keep getting the charts out to look at them again!:rotfl: I am also so tempted to get some Pine Mountain pillows. These 2 are my faves...

Anyway, if anyone wants to visit the Nimble Thimble, it's in Llangedwyn Mill, Llangedwyn, Near Oswestry, Shropshire, SY10 9LD. And please can I come too? ;)

Sorry everyone! I've found another bargain I thought I'd share with you.
RU Craft has the Stitchopoly game for £9.99
    http://www.rucraft.co.uk/detail.php?productid=ST00712&proddesc=Stitchopoly&supercategory=BRN00037&branch=&wcategory=CAT00214&catdesc=&super=0130BRN00037~0020CAT00214&treecode=TRE00011

I had it for a christmas present last year and it's a fab gift for a cross stitcher.

Thanks for sharing the 70% code MRSMC for wimblebees. Unfortunately there wasn't really anything I fancied in the sale, the 5 kits I wanted were full price :o
Though before I looked at the site I phoned my Mum to tell her about it and she said she still had £60 of my xmas spends to spend on me so if I saw something to get it.
As I didn't see anything I called her back to ask if I could spend it on ebay or another site instead. She said she didn't mind and would leave it to me. :j

So when hubbys paypal account gets sorted out I will go on and see what takes my fancy. I know if I look now I'll see loads I want but can't have. I have my mind on a couple already that I saw last time that I think are on there continuously so hopefully they are still there when PP gets sorted.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

I'm itching to stitch the Meg & Mog halloween picture from Cross Stitch Crazy issue 103. It's stitched on bright orange aida, but I can't seem to find any. Does anyone know of a shop or website that stocks it? It said the fabric was from Willow Fabrics, but I can't see it on the site and the magazine is 2 years old, so I think they must've discontinued the colour.

Ruth_honey - I don't know if you do eBay, but this seems like very good value, and the seller has excellent feedback:

Thanks Sweetcarer and Misty blue! Will probably go with the ebay one that Misty suggested as it looks the right colour, and the piece isn't too big. I knew someone would come up with something! :)
