Anyone Into Cross Stitching?

Ok, i've looked at the chart, although its huge its not so bad, its made up of half stitch and full cross stitch only with a small amount of outlining. The sky is all half stitch in big blocks of the same colour so shouldn't take long The rest will take ages, i hope to finish by OH's Birthday (January) but i best not say which year yet :rotfl:

For anyone thats wondered about the chinese kits, i'd say go for it, the chart is easy to follow the symbols have the required thread/strands in both chinese and english, plus they are really cheap compared to the english versions. The lion one i bought was rrp £50 and sold online for £25 but i bought it for £10.49 off ebay, i have since found out the seller is on ebid and i could've got it even cheaper The online store is http://www.hobbymonkeyking.com/Hobbies.asp?sType=2 but check their listings on ebay/ebid as they can be cheaper. I've already spotted a few more i want.

Oh noooooo!! Those kits are gorgeous and soooo cheap! I can't believe how big and detailed they are for the price.....must resist, MUST resist :rotfl:

My lions would have been only £9.65 off ebid, so gutted i didn't look there For now i've taken a picture of the only completed cross stitch i have as the rest were given to family members

I have finally started another project after a couple of weeks away from it. We bought home a new pup 4 weeks ago so time has been spent with him settling him in. However, 2 days ago when he was asleep I picked up my aida and threads again and I'm half way through a bathroom design by Barbra Cimochowski for a friends Xmas present. Will post photo's when I have taken some. Lovely to catch up on what you've all been doing since I last posted

If those are the chinese kits, please be very careful. My friend bought the well known "Wild Menagerie" design on eBay at a too-good-to-be-true price, and when it arrived, it was a Chinese kit where they'd used the picture from the genuine kit, but there pattern was massively simplified and contained only a fraction of the colours.

Hi, the ebay shop is http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Hobby-Monkey-CRAFT-Clearance-Stop Thanks for the warning about the kits Misty, having never seen the original i don't know if the design is more simplified or not, looks good enough to me, there are 29 different colours in my kit. I'll let you guys decide when i complete it, hopefully it'll look great

Its adorable isn't it I messed up as it was my first kit, i did the grass in full stitch rather than half, but no-one will ever know.
