Thanks Ruth, that's exactly what i did and I used them to cool me down as well. It worked brilliantly. I can't believe that I didn't think of this myself.

    Hi Shelly

I use a short sewing needle with a very fine point -great for if you have to go through a strand of fabric and not through the hole ;) and by using the shorter one I wate a teeny tiny bit less thread every time :rotfl:well it is MSE :p -I find the one with the kits feel like a darning needle....
I always stick my needle through the very edge of the fabric.

Jintyb -I use imageshack...its free and takes you through step by step..give me a yell if you get stuck ;)
Have been trying to post photos but to no avail. Ive got them loaded into photobucket but I cant seem to transfer them successfully on to here. I need an idiots guide pls!!! I nearly got it but the photo was huge and then I dont know what happened - help!

I have no willpower whatsoever! :D I just treated myself to this kit http://www.stitcher.co.uk/index.asp?SSN=26494&KitName=XDO6%20A%20Dictionary%20of%20Boots
I already have the Dictionary of bras and the Dictionary of cakes, but I couldn't resist. I used the money I earned from selling some of my other kits and stuff on Ebay, so I don't feel too guilty ;)
Plus I've had a rough couple of days and needed cheering up.
Had to buy some wooden bell pulls to make the order up to £30 to get free P+P, but I will need those when I finish the Dolly Mamas kits I have.
Off on a mini holiday tomorrow...:j

Edit the picture on photobucket (click directly on it) and choose a medium size.

then go back to the main album page and underneath the photo you want copy and paste the direct link

then when you are posting you want to put the IMG tags either side of your link, so it will look like:

    yourlinkhere

    That should work.

Can I ask if any of you have had your work laminated before and if so what were the results?
I ask because I have a Tigger bookmark to do but would like it protecting in some way from getting tatty/mucky. I have looked online at getting a bookmark cover but as its material I have a feeling it won't go in the cover properly and will end up all creased/folded over at the corners.
I called a local printers and they will laminate it for £1 but the responsibility is mine as they can't guarantee the bookmark won't get ruined due to the heat.
I could risk it I guess because when I bought the mag that had the free bookmark gift on the cover I had 2 kits in my packet that was taped to the front of the mag. So if I take a chance and it gets ruined I still have a spare.

    Any advice gratefully received :D

Louise - thanks for your help I hope this works!

This is the picture I did for my Mum for her birthday:

I also did a freebie from Cross Stitch card shop for a gift tag.

Still not sure how to post the photos but here goes!

Why not try it first on a small bit of aida with half a dozen random stitches on? I know it'll cost you £1, but it might save having to restitch the bookmark?

Thanks for the idea Ruth.....why didn't I think of that? Doh! :D

Well I went to look in my sewing box because if I have any scraps of aida that's where they will be.
OH MY LIFE!!! I found about 8 more brand new kits!! Totally forgot I had them.
Found a couple of finished bookmarks too so if the test piece works ok I will get those done aswell.

Louise. Thanks for the offer, appreciate it. :A
