Don't know if anybody on here has noticed, but poundland have started selling cross stitching kits. Got two packs the other day.
One kit is a dog design (they also had cats, and a design with a cake tray with loads of cakes lol yum!), and the other one i got is a pack of 2 kits for cards, and they have nice floral designs. Would make ideal cards for mothers day etc.
Pretty basic beginner kits but for £1 its a good buy, if your just looking for a few kits to practice doing. Also cheap when your getting all your threads, cards and aida with them too.

rainmac I took my cross stitch in to be framed last week, it should be ready tomorrow. will post a pic when I get it back.
I decided to have it professionally framed as it had been folded for a few years and probably needed stretching. also OH said I had spent so much time on it and now it was finally finished I should get it done properly!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Thanks.:D I can't remember where that one was from-I have about 6 now! www.sewandso.co.uk sell them, though. They are from Janlynn, called Dolly Mamas. There's also a teenager range called Chicklets. I love them. I did one for my mum first, then bought some more in America last year, so I have a collection going now! They are an odd size though, so instead of framing them, I put them on wooden bell pulls. Sew & So sell these too.
Rainmac-Thanks for your comments. I have loads of other pics to share. In fact, they're already on webshots if anyone wants a look.

Bunbun2-Sometimes it's definately worth paying to get your stitching framed professionally. I have only done this 2 times-one was my Dad's 50th, the other was my Titanic pic, which took me years. I was in one of the cross stitch magazines with it!:j It's behind me now & I love it. It was worth every penny getting it framed (£30?). Although it's hidden under tinsel at the moment...:rolleyes:Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
