Opened my KE account online on the 5th June (on the back of all the praise they got on this thread). But have heard nothing yet and it's the 10th, no confirmation postal letter and no e-mail with account details.

Thought it was supposed to be 2 working days?

You should have received an e-mail giving your application ID almost immediately then, within two working days, another giving your sort code & account number, followed by a letter within the next two working days giving your initial password.

Suggest that you ring them on 01159836331.

I received the immediate email application confirmation after completing the forms on-line, but nothing else since. I emailed them this morning, and if no response by lunchtime I'll ring them as you suggest.

I applied for them also a few days before you did, and I didn't receive an email after a couple of days stating my account number like had happened with my partner. However yesterday about a week after the initial application I got the email saying that they believe it wasn't delivered/sent. I also received the letter in the post with my password yesterday.

May be the same situation with your application, otherwise speak to them on that number as they were very helpful when I spoke to them, and no waiting around.

I use egg money manager too. It's great and I had the same trouble with ns&i as it wasn't on it. I'm don't know if you can click on the option to recommend Kaupthing to egg. There is no guarantee but I used to recoomend it everytime I logged in (as did others) and it was eventually added.
I start requesting Kaupthing and hopefully they will add it :T

Just an update, received the letter in the post this morning, but no e-mail. Rang, no waiting, call answered almost immediately, said e-mail will be resent, and should be with us by Wednesday, fingers crossed.

Although minor problems in delay in opening (lack of e-mail etc), very impressed with politeness of staff and quick answering of calls!

They use the same application form for both the fixed and non-fixed savings accounts? How can they tell which one to setup for you?
