    Just logged in without a problem.

    Chamelon it sounds like you still have issues with your username and password. Do you even get as far as the password screen?


    Yes, I input the username the lovely CS lady gave me, followed by the password sent in the letter, then got the error message. Will try it again now and see if I can get on.

    ETA: still getting error message :(

    The only problem now is that Lloyds TSB will not let me transfer all the money I want to, so will have to fiddle about over several days shifting it. So annoying, and little wonder I am moving as should earn at least 50% more interest with the Kaupthing account. Hurrah! Thanks Martin!

    I had a similar problem with LTSB yesterday whilst moving large amounts of money out of the account and it decided to stop authorising the payments (fraud prevention) but a simple phone call to their fraud dept soon sorted it out and then had no problem making the transfers.

    After entering your password the next screen should ask for letters from your 'memorable word'.

    Did you set up a memorable word when you opened the account? Perhaps they've forgotten to update it when they re-set your account after your telephone call?

    To be honest I can't remember! I've set up several accounts with various institutions in the last week and I have no idea what passwords etc I set for which accounts :o

    I know I shouldn't, but I usually stick to the same 2-3 passwords for all accounts but then some insist you add additional stuff like mixed upper/lower case letters plus numbers etc and also stipulate different character lengths, and this is where I end up forgetting what I used :rolleyes:

    Think I might give them another call and see if everything is set up ok at their end.

    If you go on their website and check the application process the memorable word is one where you choose a prompt from the drop down menu. Such as "mother's maiden name" etc.

    Personally I'm very annoyed now. I rang them up this afternoon and the guy told me it was coming up on his system that the e-mail would have been sent last night or today. I checked for the e-mail again after I had spoken to him and there was none.

    I applied online to avoid my mum having to ring them up and go through security, which she hates as she often fails to answer the questions. Now I find myself at square one because these muppets can't even send an e-mail :confused:

    This time it actually allowed me to input letters from my memorable word and then came back with the same error message!!! :mad:

    Ahhh forget it, I'm better off sticking with Egg Savings for the sake of 0.01% difference :rolleyes:

    Chamelon - forgive me if you think I'm being cheeky but I can't help but think this is 'finger trouble' on your part. I've just logged in again without any problem.

    Remember memorable words etc are case sensitive. Could this be at the root of your problem?

    If it had failed each time on my inputting my memorable word then yes, I would suspect the fault to be my own, but it has only once allowed me to even get that far and due to the sequence numbers it asked from me I knew exactly which word I'd used, so no mistake there.

    Prior to this the errors were coming up after inputting the username and password set by KE and I've been very careful to make sure they were all typed in correctly so I can't understand why it won't let me in :confused:
