It is when you default on or seriously breach your credit agreement by, for example, not paying your debt back,

Darcy, did they not send you any paperwork in the post? Surely that would have your bond numbers on

I'm really peeved with Vanquis. Got the card back in May or June and they have not increased my limit from £250  I think I will keep that card for 12 months so I have nice 12 green zeros and then I will cancel it.

    Good night all x

how do you work out the interest that will be due monthly on a credit card?? i have a friend who has booked a holiday on hers paid in full for holiday, 2900 pounds. she cant pay it in full but can clear it in 4 months but i have no clue how to work out what it will be i think the rate is same as mine 24.9%. is there a way to divide the apr by 12 or something??

    It's about 2% a month - so about £60 a month on a £2900 balance, £45 3/4 of that, etc.

    Interest is calculated daily at...

    Daily closing balance x monthly rate x 12 / 365

...and will only stop accruing when you've cleared two consecutive statements in full and by their respective payment due dates.
