Congrats on the Cap 1 and Vanquis. Run them well and you will see an improvement. Bad luck on the Citibank thoughAt least you have 2 cards to start with, and when your default drops off next month, maybe try for the MBNA or Flybe?
RE bank accounts, a few of us on here have had success with Alliance & Leicester premier account. You can apply online. I have 2 defaults and they accepted me, and Darcy has a CCJ and they accepted him. You get a full Visa debit and cheque book and o/d is optional. A&L high street branches are few and far between but if I have any cash or cheques to pay in then I use the Post Office - so don't really need a branch.
Good luck and stick with us. 2009 is going to be a great year for us sub primersyou cant change yesterdaybut you can make tomorrow better0 -
can anybody tell me if aqua give out credit limit increases after so long of having their card. thanks
Yes they do. In the 18 months I have had my card the limit has been increased from £750 to £2450.
Intial limit £750, month 3 automatically increased to £1250, month 7 automatically to £1650, month 13 by request to £1950, month 18 automatically to £2450.
I have been very pleased with the service, only bugbear is the lack of online facilities.
On another note, thanks to recommendations on this board, I was instantly approved for a flybe card yesterday just waiting to see what my limit will be0 -

Thanks Darcy. The default drops off next month but I am stuck with the CCJ for another 4 years although this is satisfied. In the past I was embarassed to talk to anyone about my credit rating until I found this thread. What a relief to find others not only willing to openly discuss their credit problems but more than willing to help others.
Oh and thanks to Jay & Sammy for your comments.

Well I got a reply from the Halifax and it was another decline. The reason given was too many searches which I can understand! Will leave it another 6 months and see what happens then.0
