  • I have a default that is due drop of my credit file in February 2009 and I have a vanquis, capital one and Aqua credit cards that are paid in full every month. I wonder how long I would have to wait to apply for overdraft and a normal credit card
    Thanks

as long as you have run these accounts well and there is nothing bad other than the default on your file then i would apply once you know it is clear of your file!!

I'd give it a couple of months after the default is removed and then give it a shot. Please remember to request a copy of your credit report so that you can check that the default is definitely gone!

You may also wish to consider closing one or more of the other credit cards too, as lenders can be suspicious of people who have large amounts of available credit but don't use it..
