Wannabe123: So you are saying I should transfer all payments to the Current plus that DOESNT have any charges / bounced DDs ??? In my online banking the two accounts have different customer numbers and are not on the same page if you get what I mean.

Should I apply for O/D after 3 months or do I just wait for them to send Servicecard?? I've read before that someone just recieved a Servicecard after being given a Solo when they opened the account?

Really want to get the ball rolling on this one.

Thank you for the advice. I get paid on Friday so will set up for my wages to be sent to spare account as of next month. Just one more question sorry, I work part time - get a about £500 a month - Housing benefit is paid to me aswell to the amount of £450 - because of claiming this will this make my chances slimmer of getting a Maestro? I've seen while in Natwest that on the "credits" page of my file (being sneaky having a sly look) it has BACS payments each month from both Tesco and HB - does Natwest system just think my wages are £900 a month?

i know it wouldn't harm you a mate of mine is on job seekers allowance and hes got a servicecard and a £300 OD.
  • all bacs payments are considered as salary i had mine paid into partners rbs and he has loads of defaullts cause i left natwest with 5000 od

any way went to his bank with him for a review cause i worked for them and his o/d increased from 600 to 3000 because system thought he was taking 2500 a month in salary
