Blemain is the nasty sub sub sub prime you get when your mortgage is in arrears!!

We have been super good with our mortgage ever since and have had blemain a while so fingers crossed we will get somebody ok! Will go through an advisor though.

    When is your remortgage due?

I'm def going with a half decent broker this time. Our last one was complete pants - it was our first time and it was so stressful!!

H2B isn't as clued up about mortgages as I am nowadays. The other week he actually said "can you imagine if our mortgage was with Lehman Brothers"!!!! I nearly fell of my chair. I didn't have the heart to tell him :o

Clio, what do you think of the Piaggion Fly 100?? I saw one last week and it was cheaper than the Honda. I'm hoping to go see a Honda Lead this weekend, but it is £200 more. Is it worth it do you think??

    Booked my CBT today

    Little update:

Still awaiting to hear from Cap One on removing a default and reactivating account. 3 weeks and no answer...If nothing soon I'm gonna reclaim my charges.

Just got refused AMEX. Need to stop applying. So many success stories on here :0

My OH had a cap one classic with £200 limit. We made a mess of things a few years ago and the cap one was paid off over a very long time! Last week we paid off the final bit (£240 odd so still over limit). The advisor who took the payment details said they couldn't reactivate accounts that had been more than 6 months in arrears as the accounts are closed.
She said that they would do an internal application which goes straight to the manager and he would get a credit agreement to sign if accepted. She said they would do their best to match the limit and apr of his previous card.

Anyway he just got the agreement to sign and it is for a platinum card with 0% apr till july and minimum of £1500 limit. He has sent it back but we think it must be a mistake and are not banking on getting the card!! We shall see though. :D

My point is that you may be better off phoning them to see what they will do over the phone. Good luck

We went on to the bank of scotland svr about a year and a half ago but have been waiting to remortgage until we have about 18 months - 2 years of no mortgage arrears in the hope that bank of scotland will take on the extra from blemain. Not sure what to do now though with the hbos collapse!

Hi, I was on an arrangment dmp and decided i wanted to go back to normal, so asked them and said they couldnt reopen my existing account so did an internal key in and a credit check and I too got a platinum but only with the same limit i had before which was less than 1500, i did get the 0% tho until may 2009, seems odd though as I have been on arrangement for a while now and to give me a card with 0%, and origianl credit limit even though I have 3 defaults now was surprised
