SPML Sub Prime Mortgage Lender
Did exactly the same thing. Went with SPML 18 months ago. Had a good broker though (IMO). Gave me loads of choices, asked whether we wanted 2 year fixed rate, 5 year etc.
We decided to go with a 2 year fixed rate as I hope to be well enough to be working again by the time 2 years is up, reasoning that come 2 years, we would have a better income and be able to re mortgage with a much better rate.
Wish I had done 5 years fixed now.
But Southern Pacific have been great for me. We had a very large interest secured loan before we got our mortgage. The mortgage cut our payments nearly in half.
