i have a satisfied default from sep 2003 - so that is due to drop off next year. apart from that all my payments are up to date. I was one of the first with an aqua card - £250 limit which now has a £2250 limit (card is hidden away for dire emergencies only), and a vanquis, which I have just cancelled but had a £1750 limit.
All my payments are up to date. I got the natwest card because I was banking with them at the time - I since moved my account to RBS (same company), and applied for a card thru the direct banking website. Interestingly it is a joint account and my missus has the same default (that was a joint account too). She earns less than me, but her credit limit on the RBS card was £3500 - applied for on the same day. work that one out.
and guess who the default is with ? - yep RBS.0 -

lol, does that mean some lenders look at the past 3 years or do they search the last 6?0 -

i think it means that your internal credit score with your bank is more important that the score they get from the CRA's.
also I am pretty convinced that the majority of lenders will just decline as soon as they see a default.0 -
Hi, my brother just got his vanquis card, how long do you have to wait before the credit limit is increased, can you have an other card holder?0
