You might want to try the CashPlus Creditbuilder Pre Paid Card. It isn't a brilliant product but if you just pay the 4.95 per month they report the complete loan to CRA's. That would take a year though and there is a fee of £9.95

Helps if I put the link in.:o

  • Hi everyone,

have been looking on here a while, but never posted on this thread.

Have had bad credit in the past (well isnt great now either) but this year i have been given an A&L full account with £100 o/d a Capital one Card initially with £500 limit, but now £1500 and have today had a call from Vanquis saying they have accepted me for £250 limit...........oh and also an Iphone contract about 6 weeks ago.

I applied for the MBNA card, but got a "we well write to you within 7 days" etc etc...........does this mean i am going to be declined?

hiya dan, sorry i couldnt really help you, some have had that and been accepted, some have had that message and not been accepted, and then some have been offered a £500 limit card, as long as you pay £100 deposit, but you get that back after 6 months of running the account well, some have been offered 19.9% and others 29.9%......... it does seem that you have pretty gd cards to play with already, why not run them for a gd 6 months, and then apply to something with less than 19.9% on perhaps?
vanquis tend to put an increase on the card limit on the 3rd or 4th statement, so thats not far away really

Well done Pogo, good result :) another one you could try is jd williams ...
  • Is Fashion World not part of the JD williams group anyway?

Interestingly, I got my mbna card on Saturday. Put about £70 on it over the week and today I check my internet banking and see they have issued a statement already so I paid it all off again!! Quick to get the money back I think, unlike bank of scotland which I have had for ages and no statement!!
