    CONGRATS CLIO!!!!!!!

I can't believe you just casually dropped in the conversation that you got a Tesco card lol. And that you had a choice of Visa and Mastercard. The rest of us just get what we're given lol!!!

So does that mean you are now officially a Primer??????? It's all about the Sub-Primers lol.

But seriously that's good news - I'm pleased for you :D

I'm so glad the smilies are back. Like they say, a picture tells a thousands words and all that guff lol

    hi there
    thanks for your help.
    what do you advise next?
i cant switch accounts, because i have a overdraft to pay back.
    I need a account.

Just seen your post here. You don't need to switch accounts, just open a new bank account completely separate from Halifax and get your salary paid into that account so that they cannot claim the funds to pay your Credit Card debt off.

Unfortunately this happens quite a lot to people struggling with debts, and the best advice is always to keep your money in an account with a different bank to which you owe the debt for exactly this reason. Good Luck.
  • Well I decided to apply for the 'Flybe' card today . Like the idea of free flights , anyway got a instant YES! Only thing is , I then realised it is run by the same company who administer my 'JJB' card - no problems , had this for around six months ...........but a naff limit of only £250! So wondering if they will give me a worse limit!

I applied for my JJB card in June. It arrived in July with a limit of £400.

Applied for Flybe last week. Received it saturday... Limit £2000. Big difference!

I have just used it to do two balance transfers using the 0% for 6 months.

Now I'm stuck. I won £2,126.16 on the bingo last night  and don't know if to wipe my credit card debts (around £1800 total) or bank the money and pay them off when the 0% ends lol

It has been a huge struggle getting back on the credit ladder and reducing my debts. I can't wait to pay them off once and for all, and finally be debt free :A
  • is flybe cards an instant decision?? im just wondering i never have heard of them until you guys started talking about them

Candice, that's great news about the bingo win  !!!!! Personally, I would pay it straight off the debt because I know that I would end up spending it lol. But if you have more self control than I do, then put it into a high interest savings so it earns a bit, and then pay the card off when the 0% ends.

Aaah, Clio, so does that make you an honorary sub primer lol !!!

Darcy, I dare you to apply lol

Has anyone had a credit limit increase on their Cap 1 card? My 4th statement is due in September and I was wondering what the chances of me getting one are? I don't need the limit as I already have a £1k limit, but it's always nice to feel wanted :)
