um thanks, cannot remember if I had to sign anything for my prapaid, probally not , will try for the vanquis once I talk about it with hubby lol
Hi Doelani :hello:
As Mr. P says, apply for the Vanquis card online? What do you have to lose? I have 3 defaults on my file, and in the last few months got Vanquis, Cap 1 and MBNA. Vanquis gave me £250 limit which is better than nothing, but it does allow me to rebuild my credit. I only use it online so only ever run up a bill of £60 or so a month. I don't ever use it in shops only because I can never remember the pin and keep losing the reminder pin they send me lol.
Go for it, and if they say no they say no. But if they say yes, then great!
Keep us updated0 -

It's not necessarily a no. I got the same message and then I got a phone call a few days later to say that it had been accepted. I think there's quite a few of us on here with the same message, some get it, some don't.
You've got to test the water sometime.....I know, it's like leaping into the unknown!!0 -
Hello everyone :hello: how are you all?

saving over 2k :j
i borrowed all i needed.
and some goodnews i got my letter saying mbna have recived my cheque etc..... even thou it cleaved well over a week ago.....
Thanks - just got rejected by Zopa. It's so annoying when you go through the whole process and they ask for addtional info and then reject you due to the credit check.
They carry out a credit check with Equifax when you first make the application and it put me in the A rating. I then send a copy of my wage slip to prove income and they then reject me the next day! grrrr

I applied for a capital one card this morning (little bit addicted to applying but this is the last one!!)
Anyway, they said yes straightaway (wahoo!) and I "signed" an online agreement but now I am starting to worry that they will change their mind as I have read about them doing this - anyone know how likely this is?
This is my first instant approval for years and years so I am stupidly happy about it!
I am thinking that my other applications were always going to be referred though because I did them at night - this is the first I have made in office hours - does this make a difference?0 -
Afternoon All!!!!
Fairy, well done on your first purchase lol. Now that you have done your balance transfer, remember not to purchase anything else on the card otherwise you will be paying the interest forever!!! My MBNA is definitey the nicest card I have in my purse, and it's killing me not to be able to whip it out and buy something lol!!
Dolally, I know exactly how you feel. My MBNA instant approval was the first one I have had in a long time lol. It does make you feel really good, I was so happy for days lol!!! Do you have the MBNA yet??? I agree, it is totally addictive. But not to get the money, just that feeling that you have been "accepted" and that you're so trustworthy lol. We're daft aren't we!!!
Dragon, that blows. Can you appeal the decision?? Great news about the Flybe card tho. I would love to apply but I'm forcing myself not to. Not until after my remortgage goes through!!
yay, 2 minutes til home time and then I'm outta here :j :j :j0 -
Hi Sammy,
No, I haven't got the mbna yet but I only sent back the agreement and money this week so I won't get it for a while yet.
I agree that it can be addictive to apply - I even started a thread about it!! I think I really just wanted the instant yes as I felt so dejected everytime I got the "we'll think about it"!
I just hope that the capital one card turns up as otherwise the delight at the instant approval will disappear quite rapidly!!
We will all get there eventually........0 -
well done dragon on getting your new CC
Sammy are your smilys working again, mine are so it may off been this sites problemo eh!!
