just tested and it seems to be working ok now.

from what i can gather if you phone their normal number they dont know about it. you need to apply for the mastercard via this link, you will get a yes, no or be asked to phone the number they give you where you will be told you have been unsuccessful for the mastercard but they can offer you a classic visa.

hi me again i just woul like to thank you for yr help i did apply to the site u gave me.the sme messages came that to call them betwen the time manday to friday 9-5 to talk about the aprication am smiling a little bit but what they would say that am scared please i dont what them to take this joy over my face have u got any experience on this just let me know.ok let wish for the best what the positive things should tell them everything will help. i cant even spell properly becouse of this:T

well done, some of us have gotten the card from this one, some of us havent, and then some of us were offered the card as long as we gave a deposit of £100 - so its worth trying to get it really

I still think no matter what state your file is in even if you have defaults , CCJ’s and in my case a BR order if they show as settled, satisfied or discharged on your files then the subprime lenders will look at it.

The lady I spoke to at MBNA was obviously looking at my file when I spoke to her as she mentioned linked address’s and talking about my past adverse credit not in detail but enough to know she was looking at my file (at that point I thought hang up now ). Said she could not offer me the card I applied for but could offer a card with £500 limit if I pay a £100 deposit at this point a smile was on my face.

Been on the electoral role for 2 years now and my payment history has been spot on for the same length of time I’m sure this has helped even with all the other stuff on my file.

It (MBNA Standard MasterCard CC) looks like this. This card was issued in late 2006 so the current design may have been changed.
