Hello everyone
wonder if anyone can help?
Just a quick bit of background info.... declared b/r in June 2004, discharged Dec 2004. Got a Vanquis Card in Oct 2006 & Credit limit slowly raised to £2K, paid off in full every month until last month. This is because we have got back on the property ladder (mort with Chelsea) & moved in May 17th this year and had lots of expenditure, Prop bought for £152K and put down £22k dep.
My question is .... is there any chance of being accepted by another cc with lower apr etc than Vanquis, did try with our bank (Natwest) after cashiers kept saying we would be OK, seeing as our accounts are/have been run really well for 2 years+ but a resounding big fat No.
Sorry for the long post any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Just thinking out loud, I know I shouldn’t compare this thread to a game as money and finance are a serious thing’s. But if you look at what a lot of us are trying to achieve which is get back into the mainstream lenders/providers for Banking, Mortgages Credit cards etc, you can’t seem to get to one place with out going to another first, for example to sort out and clean credit files first, then perhaps a catalogue account and onto a sub-prime card from there. Stepping stones Lol0

It certainly is stepping stones but finding this thread has helped a great deal, makes you realise your not the alone and the world is not full of gloaters hahaha0

I have a few things: I do not have a printer, is there a place to go to get on the electoral roll?
I was also wondering, I am getting some things looked into on my credit file: As I had not applied fror anything for over 2 years I did not know the creditcard that I had paid off in full and asked the provider to close down has been repoened and used; how long do companies (big ones eg MBNA, Capital One, Barclaycard), keep hold of recepits as I need to prove it was not me and so ws thinking I can see when they were made as I am often at work or out of town...
I only found out when I got declined for £300 of credit in a shop the other week.0 -
you should be able to access getting yourself on the electoral roll through your credit file, this is how i did mine ..... or local council0

***bump***Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

Hey guy's, whats happening? Has the thread gone cold? Nothing much happening in the sub prime market then.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? I have no news related to my cards but I just came back from a night out in Bangkok, was great fun!
Just been to this place at the top of a 70 storey building. Fantastic view. Exuberant price!0
