Sorry everyone, I've been out of WiFi zones. No, Tufter only comes home in my dreams. Weirdly, a couple of people claim to have seen him on our road over the weekend, when I was home waiting / calling for him. They think someone has taken a fancy to him and kept him in and some have even expressed suspicion at a particular couple opposite who I don't know. If that's true then it's bloody cruel to not at least tell me.
Anyway, it's made for a devastatingly sad start to my journey. I spent last night in a service station in England and am driving through the Eurotunnel this afternoon.
We do have a new PotentialLodger who seems a good match - NakedChefLodger is going to meet him for the viewing and interview in my absence.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

Ditto this BL. :hello:Herman - MP for all!0 -
Where are you now, B_L? Hope it's all going swimmingly for you, apart from the mystery of poor old Tufters of course.
Is there a possibility he's been catnapped by someone who knew you were leaving the country and wanted him for themselves? Or anyone who had a grudge? Sometimes, kitties just go AWOL when they don't feel well and maybe he has now become confused about where home is. My old kitty had more than a touch of dementia, according to the vet. She was 18.0 -
I've made it halfway through France... I'm in a hotel now (long story) with WiFi so am finally catching up on my blog posts. There'll be a new one tomorrow morning that brings it all up to date: http://emilysearlyretirement.blogspot.com In the meantime, there is a dedication to wee Tufter.
This is still the place to watch for lodger news thoughMortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

I was really hoping he would come home for you Badge. I keep reading often to check. Go home Tufters!
