Yes, that obviously is another possibility. I also wonder whether he might have been inadvertently shut in somewhere. Any neighbours have sheds or garages he could have sneaked into?“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Yes that's my main worryWe're all close terraced houses around here with small back gardens, but a lot of the neighbours do have sheds, aviaries or chicken houses that he could get caught in. I'd expect him to make a noise but you never know...
NakedChefLodger has volunteered to come out and do a house-to-house search with me on Monday. We have hi-viz jackets so that might help us to look 'professional'!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
One of mine went missing for 24 hours - I eventually found him shut in the garage of a house at the bottom of my garden.
I asked if she would mind checking the garage which she was only too pleased to do. I went round with her, she opened the door and as no cat came out she said he wasn't there. I then asked if she minded if I went into the garage - in I went and called Ron then stood quietly. I heard a very faint meow - I followed the noise & found him hidden away under some shelving.
I dread to think what would've happened if I hadn't gone in the garage myself.
Hope you find Tufters soon0 -

When my cat went missing my mum said she was taken in by a childrens home so that was the end of that. Years later I went round to a new friends house and she had a cat that she had taken in off the street that look identical to mine, which seemed to recognised me and her name we had given her.0

He's definitely been taken off the public streets one way or another, I'm 100% sure of that. He couldn't possibly stay hidden this long by his own force of will - he's too people-centric.
I can't think of any reason for a person who's got him knowingly to not phone the number on his collar. With the possible exception of feeling guilty for killing him, that is. Even then, man up and confess! I'm a nice girl, I'll be upset but no more upset than I am already.
Which only leaves one explanation - he is stuck or hidden somewhere on private land, where no-one is aware of him. Whether dead or alive, that's where we have to focus the search.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
