    Aah - this is the first time I've been to the States and actually gotten some free time built in. It's 7am on Saturday morning now, and I don't have to work again until 3pm Monday (although that work will be in Chicago).

    So yay, at last I get to enjoy a bit of tourism in sunny California! :j And I can even relax knowing that BigGuns is 300 miles away from my house! :j

    I hope you've got some warm sweaters with you: Chicago is bitterly cold in a way you might not have experienced before. I LOVE that city, it's a really wonderful place and the natives are very friendly indeed, especially to Brits.

    B_L if you have any spare time in Chicago and you eat seafood have friends take you to Bob Chinns Crabhouse in Wheeling. You won't be sorry, even if it is in the suburbs. If you're a strict vegan there's a place very near to the music venue the Double Door on North Milwaukee Avenue called the Earwax Cafe. Wicker Park is a pretty groovy part of town, you may like it. Veggie and vegan food is hard to find in that city for good reason.
