Awww, so apparently Tic Tacs no longer come in cinnamon flavour, and the Earwax Cafe has closed :( Oh well, back to London tomorrow and then it's Christmas time! Woohoo!

No cinnamon TicTacs! Well, it couldn't have been because sales were low: I have American friends who send me Care packages full of them from time to time. B*gger! Mind you, I still have about 20 boxes from the last package.

OK, if the Earwax has closed (sob) how about a quick visit to Bagelnosh? Knishes. Mmmmmm. Latkes. Blintzes.

    How cold is it there?

It's really not bad! About the same as when I left London. I went out yesterday morning all wrapped up in jumpers and coats, but I took them off to walk back again. It's been sunny so the only chill is on the wind.

Here's the view from my room:

I loved chicago, but froze my bits off when I went in december. Glad youre having it better.

    Great view :)
  • My first visit was at the end of March. I wasn't prepared for how icy and bitterly cold it was. When I got back there had been a heatwave here and half my family were sunburned to bits.

Still, it's a beautiful city and the people are fab. And the shopping on Michiigan Avenue......

Yep, that's the lake in the background... it just looks pure white 'cos of all the sunlight bouncing off it

Just wish I didn't have a stinking cold and wasn't here alone... I'm being kicked out of my room now so better go find some food!

  • I've just been chatting to Joanna... she says she's missing the quiet that she enjoyed last weekend when BigGuns was away, but that everything is otherwise OK and she can cope for one last week.

Apparently Tufter's been sitting outside on the street a lot, which is something he hasn't done for a while. But he's okay too.
