    I think she's a keeper!

But what shall we call her? She's foreign (from Europe), plays the piano and digs classical music...
    Simply Piano/JoannaLodger... :)

    Wuuuh!

Hello guys, how are you? I had rather a dramatic night last night - crashed my campervan very badly on the motorway and had to be cut out by fire crew :( Thankfully (as always) I've escaped any serious injury and just have to walk on crutches for a little while. But the campervan is SERIOUSLY kaput. I mean, it's half gone!

Oh no BL, how horrible!!!!!!! :-(

So sorry to hear that, at least you are ok (kinda) but sad to hear the camper van is in such a bad way.

    What happened?

Well, it's difficult to piece together but my limited view was:
    - Sign flashed up saying "40 - Queues ahead" so I assumed there'd been an accident and slowed down, even though other cars continued to overtake me.
    - Sure enough, two cars ahead have had a bump and are partially blocking the inside lane, so I move to the middle lane.
    - I see a bloke on the hard shoulder frantically waving a white light and shouting something, so I strain to try and understand what he's saying, trying to work out whether he's asking for help or whether he's trying to warn me of further dangers.
    - A loud bang and I realise that I'm in the back of a car that was stationary in the middle lane.

I found out afterwards that the car I hit had nothing to do with the first accident - it contained only passers-by who thought they'd stop and offer assistance. In the middle lane of a motorway. But no-one else in any of the cars suffered any injuries - it was just me being the drama queen as always!

Oh my god, that sounds bloody awful.

When you had to be cut from your vehicle you said I had visions of all sorts of terrible things having happened. Maybe I`ve seen too many Traffic Cops episodes...

Hope your injuries aren`t too serious, how long are you on crutches for?

Hopefully not long - it's my right leg that's the problem. My right ankle is sprained (the crash twisted it round to the right and jammed it down onto the accelerator pedal), and my right knee's the size of a football. As soon as I start to feel more confident walking on that leg I can dispose of the crutches. Although I'm not sure about going back to London and the 7th floor too quickly :undecided

Oh BL, what a mess. I really hope you get better soon, this is the last thing you need after all the palaver with departing/arriving lodgers.

I`m sure we`d all rather just have drama at the house that doesn`t cause you any physical pain or property damage... ;-)
